Why is everyone so defensive!!

I noticed that there are a lot of defensive responses on the Wii forums??

Why is that...??

Some have to do with Mature titles...Casual gaming....Poor graphics....few good titles....No GTA IV....and so on...

Why is it that when ever some one asks a Wii related question....especially if he's not satisfied with something....that poster is flamed so much...

If some one just bought MKWii...and hated it....so what....maybe he'll like another title...

Even the BEST games SHOULDN'T be enjoyed by EVERY ONE!!....NO?

If that were the case, we'd all be driving the SAME cars and wearing the same clothes.... if we had the very same tastes!!???

If you bought the Wii...you knew you were buying a console that is TECHNICALLY FAR inferior to the competition...but FAR FAR SUPERIOR in the actual gameplay experience, interface and fun....

IMO...playing tennis by just waving your arm like in REAL tennis....or skiing down a mountain on an ACTUAL BOARD...or doing some USEFUL EXERCISE with your console...etc....is DOWNRIGHT amazing...

Its something that has NEVER been done before...and the idea is just ground breaking....blah...blah...blah...I could go on and on...

So...if someone posts that he HATES Mario Galaxy...fine...take a chill pill, relax...and don't take it personal...try to point him to another Wii title he may enjoy.....

I personally...HATE the GTA franchise...and would never have bought it if it came out on the Wii....I'd rather be skiing down a slope on a board...having sheer FUN!!

I agree, but to look from a different perspective... Most people who post how they hate the game, often (not always, of course) want everyone else to hate it too, or they just want to start a fight.Picklechugger

I believe that moreso happens from the people who love the games. they'll go ahead and pick a fight with the people who aren't fond of the games. there was thread about wii fit and the guy asked who is getting it and what are our thoughts on it and i said i wasnt getting it because i have a gym membership and it turned into 2 pages of argument for no reason what so ever. it was a fight that didnt even need to be started. if you give constructive crticism about anything in here it leads to war and the mods will go ahead and infract you claiming that you're trolling. in other words, you're getting blamed because of others temper tantrums and its ridiculous.

it's very biased of them to do that and its like they're saying you have to agree with everything nintendo does and everything about the wii and that is fascist as hell of them.

Yeah I definently agree with that. I still stand by what I said to a degree, though. I've seen posts like "Wow I play ___ and it sucked, I can't believe anyone would like it, it's so bad". But to what you said, I think it's more in the Wii section because of all the fire the Wii has already gotten. A gaming system that appeals to "casual" gamers will always get flamed in a gaming website, and I think enough people have dissed it for some members of this forum to get aggressive extremely quickly.

In comparison to other topic boards here, I've found the Wii forums to have the most people jump in and flame anytime someone says anything but "the Wii is the greatest console ever made!".

I'm unimpressed with the Wii's on-line capabilities, and how it is literally years behind where it should be.

I'm unimpressed with the way they've gone about the Wii codes instead of a user-name.

I'm unimpressed with the lack of a headset. Obviously I don't want to hear a screechy 12 year old kid in my ear, but that's what mute is for. The headset would be great for friends playing on-line together.

I'm unimpressed with the lack of effort that even Nintendo themselves is putting into their own games that use the Wii-remote. SSBB and Mario Kart not only don't bother with the Wii-mote, they suggest using the Gamecube or Classic controllers instead!

I'm unimpressed with the lack of effort Nintendo is putting into their own games graphically. SSBB was okay, but Mario Kart looks like very little effort was put into it. Sometimes it's the little details that make the biggest impact, but there's nothing that stands out visually in Mario Kart. So that leaves the tracks and the game-play to compensate. Most of the tracks were ripped straight from previous Mario Kart titles, which leaves just the game-play to make the game stand on it's own. This is by far the most unbalanced Mario Kart game ever made. There's no way to argue that it wasn't lazy programming when it's not skill that wins the game, it's a random luck of the draw.

Now, to make the TC's point, watch the flaming begin...simply for stating my opinion.

I like defending titles that actually work on Wii. I've been burned with M:UA and COD3 because they are unenjoyable. I understand that a lot of people hate how Okami feels, how No More Heroes isn't as fun as most had hoped, that online works for every game but Brawl. I do because I've bought or rented those titles, and I choose to keep my mouth shut every time it happens so that frustrations can be vented. There really are enough threads created that you can bypass most of them no problem, unless you're the mod.

I hate that the Wii has no new RPG's. Atlus gave us a dungeon crawler from the Saturn days and Koei gave us...something (I'm not making fun of it, but it really is so watered down it doesn't feel like a game). But it will be another 6 months before we get an RPG outside of the Virtual Console. I've had to buy PS2 rpg's to cover the loss. Ok PS2 rpg's are awesome, why can't they port those over? There was that rumor of Suikoden VI on Wii last year...

I digress. The whole casual/hardcore line shouldn't exist in this forum. It just doesn't make sense that Nintendo would be abandoning gaming after they purchased the entire Fatal Frame series. Have you played Fatal Frame? It's like Luigi's Mansion for Occult Leaders. If half the Wii audience picked up a Fatal Frame without knowing it they would be crying by the first save point. It'd take one lawsuit for Nintendo to say "this game is not rated for kids, do not play it in front of kids. If you have a problem then please return it." If you really have a problem with people buying Carnival Games, just tell them that there are only white people in the game. It's Rockstar's one true chink in the armor, yet NOBODY attacks it (for critical damage).

Oh well...game on/Flame on/ Party on/do whatever those Rabbids do. Just remember that everyone is different, even if our Wiis look the same.

This thread is quite frankly insane. Have you seen what 360 and pS3 fans say about the Wii. They are so bias and bitter. I like the 360 and I really like the Wii. I have always defended and attacked the good and bad points of both systems.

For some reason these forums have become a place of Wii hate and the few Nintendo fans that are left on this site are most likely fed up.

I think people shouldn't really be creating threads about not liking a game in the first place. No matter where they post it they are going to be flamed alot and the fact that all they are doing is trying to prove that what has been rated a great game, isn't. I mean, I don't like GTA I could even say I hate the series but I don't bother putting up a thread about not liking it and trying to prove to people that it's a bad game.
