I got the game and started playing it on normal difficult
I've probably resetted the game at least 40 times and i'm only on the 7th chapter (with micaiah)

Fans of the series in Japan (and outside of Japan as well) complain that the games are too easy even at the highest difficulties. They won't be happy until there's a game they can't beat.
Fire Emblem RD is easily the closest to the realization of that idea though. :P I'd suggest you pick up Path of Radiance. It's easier, and you'll follow RD better afterward.

What he said, though I never got around to RD especially since my wii is gone now. Just going to have to wait for a new handheld (not remake).
If you're really worried about the game getting worse, it really doesn't. Micaiah's chapters are by far and away the most difficult. If you can get past hers, its pretty smooth sailing.
Also, just a tip. Save any of the long range magic you get. Trust me on this. ;)
Fire Emblem just wouldn't be Fire Emblem without the challenge the series is known for. I recommend The Sacred Stones if you feel Radiant Dawn is too overwhelming.
Take your time and play through the levels a few times to find your best tactical approach to the situation. Sure, no two battles will play out exactly alike in FE, in fact most of the time enemy weaknesses/resistances, decisions and accuracy are always different when you play through a chapter. If things aren't working out, perhaps restarting the chapter will give you the edge you're looking for.
By the way, the difficulty in this game is pretty good.
It's hard? Nice!
I didn't buy it because i don't know much about the Fire Emblem series but now you really made me interested. A hard game that doesn't play itself, it will probably be worth it just because of the nostalgia!
I'm not sure I would call it hard. Instead I would call it cheap. I hated how many times I would put a character with an 80% chance of doing critical damage against an enemy with a 10% chance of doing damage and end up with my character losing the battle. That is just bad programming imo and it is also very frustrating.
The other thing that makes this game frustrating is that the characters are very unbalanced. You get either super powerful characters that are boring to fight with because they win everytime. Or you get horribly underpowered characters who can't win any fight and are very frustrating to level up due to the cheapness of the AI.
I would only recommend this game to people who already played the Path of Radiance and want to see how the storyline goes.
