It probably just means that a crossbow fits the zapper better than a bow.

Yeah could be a hint as to the next zelda game. An expanded inventory of weapons. Crossbow could make some interesting gameplay mechanics such as the hookshot being combined with it.

idk, crossbows have way more tourqe and power, i would love to nail a guy to a wall in the next zelda, but honestly it isnt happening, i think link is the only nintendo character that would be abel to use the zapper besides samus but she has her own game fresh out. i think i would have been cooler if it were megaman, that would own

Crossbow would be cool, but you wouldn't be able to use the wii zapper in a LOZ game. I dont think they would completely replace his Bow either, but just give him both, that would be cool. So maybe this training is an indacation of the next LOZ game.

Link could use the training. I mean come on. The man has gotten rid of Ganon how many times? 8-9 times? And the SOB keeps on coming back. Time to sharpen your skills Link so you can finish the job once and for all.

Hasn't the bow been in every Zelda game? I doubt they'll take it out... that item isn't something like the ball and chain or the windwaker - something meant for one game - it's gonna stay for each and every Zelda game. That's my opinion at least...

I've said this before, but I'll say it again.... Samus's Taser Training!!!!!!

Actually, on a recent vacation Link hurt his elbow in a boating accident. Until it fully heals, his family physician ordered him to avoid the stress that drawing a bow can put on it. Link, the crafty hero that he is, decides to take up crossbow training so he can still save Hyrule while his elbow heals.

Good point. One of the advantages of the crossbow was that you used your leg muscles instead of your arm muscles to bend the bow, and you could bend a stronger bow that way. The disadvantage of the crossbow is that it takes a lot longer to load.

Link always trains when he gets a weapon. And since Link isn't the same person in every game, it makes sense that he has to relearn his skills.

You guys are all looking way too deep into this..... it's all just a scam to sell Wii Zappers :P.

Now that you put it like that, some continuity issues come into place. Will this game add to The Legend of Zelda canon, in the sense that this crossbow training actually happened as an event in The Legend of Zelda universe? Will there be a story or explanation as to why Link is shooting targets to train? How will this affect the series as a whole and if so, how significant will that effect be?

In the next LoZ game, Link will be paralyzed from the waist down so he won't be able to use a regular bow.

link needs crossbow training because he accidently ate too many prunes and shot his Aunt Tessa in the hip with a crossbow, so link ended up in court with zelda as his witness. The judge ordered 6 months of crossbow training with 1 year probation and a 100 yard restraining order from prunes, prune juice, or any prune ingredient substance...

I wonder how he still managed to receive a sentence when the ruler of the province testified to his innocence? Maybe because he refused to speak, instead giving the occasional shout and scream?
