Seriously, my Wii's been turned off for 2 days. I just ejected a disc from it and it was really warm. Then I put my hand on top of the Wii and it was emminating heat, as if it were on and running for hours. Is this normal? Anyone else notice this?

Happens to mine, if wiiconnect24 is left on

to solve this, i unplug it at night and then plug it right back in, the light goes red and connect24 is off. i do it this way cuz its annoying to go into wii setup and stuff every time i want to do some everyone votes stuff

There's an easier (and safer) way to do that. Just hold the power button... the one on the system itself... down for about five seconds.

Thanks for pointing that out, its helpful, but...

just for clarification, what's unsafe about unplugging the wii? I should mention I take the cable from the wii, not from the wall.

Well, I suppose in practice, nothing could happen. My worries are if the Drive is still spinning,or flash memory is being written to, when you suddenly cut the power, these could get damaged.
