And... your point? Nintendo doesn't need to develop a ton of games for it now, because third parties are creating plenty of enjoyable quality games. They've already released any and everything a Nintendo fanatic would want anyway, so what's the problem? They have Fire Emblem DS coming up at the very least, which is fine with me. As long as the third parties are making up for it, then I'm happy.
I think the DS is in a better place, software-wise, than the Wii right now. No worries.ItsEvolution
I second that
besides Fire Emblem DS and Kirby is on the way
Because the DS practically prints out money on its own. No, wait: it does!
That picture is NOT mine, I found it on DS Fanboy. But it's pretty funny (and true), eh?
for NOW it seems ok for nintendo not to give that much attention to the DS. The DS is selling very very well and i think it even outsold the wii a few times. That are plenty of third party titles coming out for the DS's lineup this year that makes up for nintendo's lack of first party games at the moment. Were still getting kirby this year at least i think. To me, this seems like one of DS best years in terms of games that came out this year.
HOWEVER, if nintendo stops pumping first party games as much as it did before, than thats a problem. Thats like if someone gave you like a really good christmas present every year, and the next following year that persion is like "screw you, you dont need a present" and doesnt give you crap.
i don't understand why they didn't even have a trailer. i mean it wouldn't have to show ANYTHING gameplay, just show that the game was indeed in development, not just a project to get people to buy ds's then cancel down the road.paullywog
dramatictension, to make you look forward to it even more, and to annoy the living crap out of us
I really haven't enjoyed any non-Nintendo games on my DS at all. The first third party title I got was, like, my twelth DS game, and I'm sure it was awful. I have a few third party games on the DS, and they are all kind of, sort of terrible. The only ones that come to mind right now are Castlevania: Days of Ruins, Final Fantasy III DS, Worms: Open Warfare 2, and a few other games.
So yeah, I'm kind of upset that Nintendo doesn't have much this year for the DS, aside from Fire Emblem DS (I want this so freaking badly!) and New Kirby DS (I could pass on it...). Oh, also Pokemon Ranger 2. Forgot about that one.
So we are going to have to look forward to these... third party titles that aren't nearly as good as Nintendo titles for the rest of the year. I won't get mad, though, because Nintendo has given us a ton of fun games on DS.
I wouldn't base your expectations on the press conferences...if you did you'd realise there's only 20 games coming out between now and the forseeable future for all 5 platforms combined (well 6 if you count the PS2)!!
