Why is playing more than 1 player so difficult?

I dont know why in order to play 2 plyer or more you have to press the red button on the Wii, then on the Remotes in the order that you want the players to be in. Couldnt the remotes just come with their own frequency that the Wii immediately recognizes or somehting?

(And why isnt my sig showing up?)

Once you have the controllers synced with your Wii you can turn them on by pressing A. You don't need to re-sync them every time.

You don't have to do that... That's just the temporary way to do it.

Well some games have a feature where you can just press 1 and 2 at the same time to quickly sync if you bring a controller to a friends. But i do know for a fact that red steel doesnt have this feature and can be really annoying having to re-sync everything just to play a quick game.

i agree the syncing is strangely done and at that controllers are fixed to a certain sync only one controller will sync at player1 so if turn the wii on with a different controller i get player 2 until you resync everything of course

it is strangely done.

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/setupWiiRemote.jsp#Synch Read that, it's not as difficult as you make it seem.  There are two sync modes.  One that will allow the Wii Remote to turn the Wii on and off and the other that is temporary to allow you to use your Wii Remote on a friends Wii.

If some people did a little research or actually looked through the Instruction Manual, you would have found this out and have had an easier time.  I am one that does not usually look at the Instruction Manual, but I went onto the Nintendo tech website because I was having trouble syncing my controller up and found that out.

There are two Wii's in my house so I could potentially press Home and halt my brothers game.
