Why is there no NBA game on the DS?

I mean, I know the graphical capabilities aren't that strong, but they're still strong enough for an NBA game! If they could do Madden 07, SVR, PGA Tour, etc. with exceptional graphics, why are they not possibly making an NBA Live for it??

I dunno. A good, non-realisticart sty'le could take care of the visuals and Renegade Kid has an engine that boasts smooth animations at 60FPS.

I love basketball, but on the DS, it just wouldn't work. The graphics and controls alone would be pretty pathetic.

Mario Hoops 3 on 3 is actually really great...and I hate sports games.

Instead of an NBA game, I'd rather see a game that included a bunch of sports. Maybe DS Sports, similar to Wii Sports, but used the unique controls of the DS. Possibliity?

Just do the graphics like NBA Courtside on the N64.

The NBA game for PSP was pretty much the only game I played for that system in the short time I owned it. (Did play some GTA ,but NBA was by far my favorite game for it).

Another idea is to do a remake of NBA Jam, with modern players, some online game play. It's perfectly suited for handheld. With the scaled down graphics, you should easily be able to do multiplayer with just one game cartridge.
