Why is there so little hype/interest regarding the new motion plus sport titles?

I have posted impressions about Tiger woods PGA tour 10 and Grand Slam tennis in several forum. But it seems only to be able to discuss nintendo games for the Wii? I actually asked about some active Wii forum and got directed here... Just to find there is no grand slam tennis or Tiger Woods PGA tour 10 already full with people getting as hooked as myself :)

Why is there so little interest in this? I mean these games benefit the most from the motionplus addon. And the PS 3/360 versions continue to sell well. And yes let me just say that motionplus give you the 1:1 you would hope the wiimote would be originally.

Not saying the games are bad, but they're not my type of thing.

There is plenty of interest in them, you should have been around when them and their reviews came out.

Tiger Woods 10 and Wii Sports Resort had plenty of interest, as far as Grand Slam Tennis and Virtual, not so much. I just don't think they hit it off as well as Tiger Woods 10.

Its solely because with all the amazing games coming out lately or in the future (little kings story, SMG2, etc etc...) you cant help but focus on these over the wii motion plus.

I heard Virtua Tennis and Grand Slam Tennis were pretty good, but not great. Grand Slam Tennis takes too much time and effort to get used to, and Virtua Tennis seems like it doesn't really use M+ to the fullest. Or at least, so I've heard. Tiger Woods 10 received lots of praise from members and reviewers alike though, so there shouldn't be any complains about that, lol.

there is lot's of active discussion on TW10, check out EA's forum. there's also the wiiga TW 10 league for some more serious, but still fun, competitive play. the next season starts tomorrow, you can find info over on ea's board. the g'faq's board is active but slowing a bit. basically this forum is all wii, you'll get more discusion on specific games if you find a dedicated board for said game. myself, I'm playing a lot of TW 10.

People have been selling their Wii's in favour of PS3's and Xbox 360's. Motion plus is a step forward, but it;'s all down to how developers will receive the new peripheral and whether they see profit from it. Nintendo have done what they can and will surely try to incorporate Wiimotion plus in future titles, it's all down to 3rd parties to decide whether waggle is still the best way to make money.

the first statement has no statistic support, is just wishful(from you) thinking(and totally unrelated to this question). BTW.Sales of third party WM+ titles have been huge, so ..i think is pretty clear where is the money for devs.

I didn´t think I was such a slowly adopter of PGA tour 10. It and grand slam tennis was just released max a month ago over here. Did it release 6 month earlier in the US or something. I mean anyway I will play this game for years to come honestly and I still due to the crappy manual haven´t grasped every aspect yet. I

Sports games haven´t been my thing since 10 years either. I am more into true simulations and this is really that. More of a simulation then a game in it´s purest form.

And it´s nice to get rid of the waggle like tiger woods 09 for example :).

How well have these games sold btw?

TW 10 has sold fantastically. the wii iteration is selling like hotcakes. As I mentioned you're simply on the wrong forum for good TW discussion.

I'm not interested because I don't like golf and tennis. And I already have Wii Sports Resort, and I don't want two sport games in one month.

I'm a Wii owner myself, i don't wish for that, I just know a lot of people who did sell their wii because they couldn't get a hardcore fix, with fewer Wii owners then if there was less hype it could make sense.

Lol well I must agree I suck pretty hard as well. Not to smart to shut up about it.. I am struggling to achieve rounds under par. And I really don´t see me winning any amateur tournament anytime soon... 12th place at best so far and I think I have quite a good level so far. Sometimes I just do birdes then I just get on a bogey streak to compensate :(. 90/60/70/80/70/80 or something like that is my current stats... Tried every short cut going to the club tuner and trying to find as many bonus items in the apparells as possible. Amazingly close to get the approach shots close to the pin! Driving is easy though.

Tiger woods PGA tour 10 with the cheating mouse precision surely let me feel more like a Pro then the average joe I am. But if you get everything for free you get tired in 5 minutes like the wii sport games.

But well will check out the EA forums.

Tiger Woods 10 with MotionPlus is one of my favorite games of 2009. Great game. I hyped it up, but people in here don't get into like we do. Haha.

Sports games, I don't really enjoy them, except for a few here and there. I am waiting for RS2, The Grinder and Zelda Wii (Along with others) to really show the power of M+.

Tiger Woods was in Timesquare the other day playing Wii TW on the street. Five major News have picked up Wii motion plus and Wii Sports Resort as a must have item this summer.

I'm a Wii owner myself, i don't wish for that, I just know a lot of people who did sell their wii because they couldn't get a hardcore fix, with fewer Wii owners then if there was less hype it could make sense.

thats incidental and casual information without any statistical value. Because random people on random parts cant afford to buy a new console witthout selling the wii who might be less than 0.3 percent of the wii userbase at best.In other words, useless info. And who cares about the hardcore market?those arent the ones mostly hyped with WM+,nor a significant market for nintendo(compared to the user base).Question for you:You care if people is interested in WM+?well ,people IS interested(wm+ sales have been through the roof). Question:OH noo you dont care if PEOPLE want Wm+..only if certain hardcore gamers do?wel then who knows and probably nobody cares.Games are games and money is money.

(On the selling part, if it were true, When you sell a wii to other gamer, theres no less wii owners, theres a new wii owner to replace the one lost). But as i said, asuming that was a significant portion of gamers.Which probably is near to none.I do know lots of multiplat owners and i know an owner who kept his wii and sold PS3 to get more games. Is that really statistically useful? No.It would be stupid to use that as example.

I fully disagree with Gally66's remark. the whole "it'll make you play worse" argument is coming from people who simply have not touched the game. It does take some getting to know. I can't even hit the dang golf ball irl, in TW 10 my average is 57. I win every tournament in career mode, and my online record is 31-13. I really just started playing online more as the competition is quite good. this is my first TW game ever. I have invested quite a bit of time into single player. there are some things to learn, club tuner, club selection and how to use loft. especially loft. you can add loft to get shots in the 70-100% range with a 100% swing.
