OK, Why the hell did we just get Lylat Wars today on the Australian VC. Yes I rememer Lylat Wars is what Star Fox used to be called in Europe. But why was it released now, Nintendo dosn't ue the Lylat Wars name anymore and the trademark issue was for Europe shouldn't we have gotten Star Fox, not Lylat Wars. I've always hated the name Lylat Wars and this just makes me ticked off.

Because the game has no change (besides controller) so keeping the name would make sense for thos in your area that aer used to that name. I never knew they named it Lylat Wars some where else.... wonder why?..

You're really concerned about the name? Why?!

If they renamed GeoW "The magic teacup fairy expedition" would it make it a worse game? Would you stop playing? C'mon, don't be so silly.

Well if you're not an informed gamer, you might not know what Star Fox 64 is here in Australia. Besides, the correct PAL VC games provides the closest possible replication of the original game of that region.

You try playin' Mario Kart 64 on NTSC. It's too fast by PAL's standards!

There is a very simple reason why. For the atari, there was already a completely unrelated video game released under the name starfox, and the nintendo games were released under that name when the copyright expired or something along those lines and had to change the name in the European release because the name had not yet expired there.

Damn I want Mario Kart 64 on NTSC...

The game was released in Australia as Lylat Wars, not Star Fox 64 thats why it has been re-released as Lylat Wars.
