I'd say get one just because it's very affordable and most importantly if you're a Nintendo fan it's the only console that plays Nintendo's games.

Good games to start with... The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Super Paper Mario or wait a couple weeks and pick up the Wii witha copy of Super Mario Galaxy.

if you seriously need to ask that question then you should NOT get a wii!

Check out the games for yourself & then see if you gotta have one. If all you can think about at night is wii mote then go buy one! Otherwise just enjoy halo 3 & leave us be!

There are many reasons to get a Wii. Classic games that I used to play as a kid. Games that you can't get on other systems and even if they were wouldn't be the same. Graphics can be revamped and upgraded. But for now the controls on the wii are the elite for gaming in my eyes. Everything is fresh and new. Things that you wouldn't normally think about doing or in this case games you wouldn't normally think about playing are pretty damn fun. Like I'm not into golfing but on this system it can be pretty cool.

As far as games....what do you like?

I'd suggest these:

First Person Shooter: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (A must own)

Action Adventure: Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess and/or Super Paper Mario

Baseball: MLB Power Pros

Survival Horror: Resident Evil 4 or Manhunt 2

Football: Madden

Puzzle Games: Zack & Wiki

Multi-Player: Wii Play & Mario Party 8

Music: Guitar Hero 3

Obscure But Fun : Wario Ware: Smooth Moves (This also has good multi-Player)and/or Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Plus you've got a ton of sick games hitting shelves in the 2 months.......Super Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games, Nights: Journey Of Dreams, Soul Calibur, etc etc

It really depends on what you like though. But like I said some games you wouldn't think about trying are pretty damn cool once you have the controller in your hands and you're playing.

It depends on what you like to play and if you're willing to embrace the new control scheme.

What I've played and liked on the Wii: Zelda: Twighlight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Super Paper Mario and Rayman Raving Rabbids.

What I hear is good: RE4, Zack and Wiki, MLB Power Pros, SSX Blur, Trauma Center,maybe Manhunt 2. There's always Guitar Hero III but you probably have that for your 360 already.

What's coming out that I'm interested in: Soul Caliber Legends, Fire Emblem: Raidiant Dawn, Wii Zapper and it's few games, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, SSBB, Nights: Journey of Dreams,, Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 and Okami (if you didn't play it on the PS2)

Then of course there's all those awesome virtual console games as well. If none of the games I mentioned interest you then stick to your 360.
