Hey guys!

I got the hardest question for all of you to answer!

Let me give you some background first. I bought a Wii the day it came out after waiting in line so I could play Twilight Princess which was not bad in the context of games but was an overall disappointment. I proceeded to buy, Excite Truck (fun game), Super Mario Galaxies (solid title, throughly enjoyed), Super Smash Bros. Brawl (my friends have grown weary of smash after 4 years straight of Melee but character selection does make me drewl), Wario Ware: Smooth Moves (WHERE THE F**K IS TEH MULTIPLAYER!?!?!), Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (I like this game, like all metroids), Trauma Center (fun gameplay, I will never buy another), Mario Party 8 (not good, not fun.), and Super Monkey Ball (pretty good actually). I bought all of these on the related release dates. (I didn't buy Okami because I had already played it on the PS2 and I played through a rented No More Heroes which made me feel like a moron for playing it, RE4 I played through on a rent after finishing on PS2). IMO I bought every game worth buying, plus some others which suck, and played countless other Wii games.

Heres the question: WHY should I not sell this system? Someone please give me a reason!

My defense before you guys rip my head off: VC is NOT a viable reason. I can play ALL of those games for free with emulators and use a controller and get the full experience (I did buy a clasic controller and bought several VC games). Mario Kart Wii is umm... I mean.... its better than Double Dash but ahh..... yeah I just don't care about another Mario Kart. I like to play Wii games with friends which is why I purchased 3 more Remotes and 3 Nunchuks within 6 months of its release. It was fun initially, Wii sports was amazing no doubt, but its boring now! Theres no great 4 players games on the Wii that actually have any depth whatsoever! (Brawl is an exception, but still depth is lacking with 4 players, once again Melee has kinda made me sick of smash. forgive me.)

The GAMES sell the system. Its been that way forever. As far as I am concerned there are no more good confirmed games I see coming out for the Wii that I care about. I am a GAMER. There are no f**king games for this system.Nintendo is making more money off the new demographic than off people like me, which is why I understand why there are no games IMO. I don't like playing the same game over and over, unless its timeless (such as melee, tekken tag, counter strike, halo 1, etc.)

So, I wouldlove you to tell me in a well formed argument why I am so wrong. THANKS.

Just sell it.

There are a lot of people who want a Wii right now because they did their research and they know that good games are on the horizon. Sell it to one of them.

Don't quote me saying I didn't do my research. I'm certain I am far more knowledgeable than anyone who needs to do "research" to find out about games. Look at the list if of my games, I get a A if your "research" needed to be done. But please, name some of these phenomenal games you see on the horizon.

Considering the quality of the past titles, and the fact that Nintendo is helping with development, Fatal Frame 4 seems like it's pretty much confirmed a good game. Also, since I'm too tired to bust you on the legality and morality of emulators, I will just say look at Wiiware.

You mean your list of games that already came out?

I'm talking about the future...as in, you asked us why you should keep your Wii when nothing good is coming out.

You would have to simply be not into games in order to not like anything coming out. Just look up the release calendar thus far. I'm not going to do your reseach for you.

But back to my first post, I was being realistic. Seriously, if you don't think anything good is coming out (even though Nintendo isn't going to announce their 2nd-half lineup of 2008 until E3) then sell it. There are a lot of "gamers" who want a Wii right now. That's all I'm going to say.

Do me a favor, just tell me the games you want on that list. Maybe then you will have answered my question. Thanks.

It's not about what I want. It's about what you want, and judging from the type of games you own (and the games you're tracking, for that matter), you should know what you want. Sift through that list by looking for "RPGs", "Action/Adventures", and "FPSs" and you'll see what's there.

You want to know what I'm keeping an eye on? Fine. Here's just a few:

Sadness, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Wii Music, Line Rider, Spore, Blast Works, World of Goo, Timesplitters 4, Call of Duty 5, Skate It, Sonic Unleashed, Ghostbusters, De Blob, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, Sam & Max, Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Death Jr., Alone in the Dark...I could go on.

Will all of these games turn out great? No. But at least I know they're out there.

But seriously, make up your own mind. Don't ask people on a forum to do your work for you. It's your opinion, and if you think there are no good games, sell your system to someone who thinks that there are good games. Everyone's happy.

If you don't like the Wii sell it. It's your loss. If you don't like the Wii then there is clearly no reason for you to own one. There are heaps of people who can't find Wiis, sell yours to them, they deserve it more than you do.

I thinking weather to sell my Wii aswell, it's just not fun after a year, however Brawl is coming out over here in Britian, way behind the times I know, and my favourite console is gamecube but seeing as how I can use it's controller for Brawl I should be happy. Anyway if you don't like Brawl wait till just before Christmas where the prices shall rise then rid of you're birden!

My tracked games don't reflect my view of games. I Stopped using this account in the community after GameSpot reset my game collection years ago. I play every genre as I enjoy them all. Thanks for the list. All the cross platform games will more than likely play better on the other platforms. The Wii needs new strong exclusive titles that don't reuse the same Nintendo icons and use the Wii Remote in all of its glory.

Just a couple of things to say:

(1) These "Should I buy a Wii?", "Convince me to buy a Wii", and "Convince me not to sell my Wii" topics just aren't a good fit for the console-specific boards. These boards are for fans of the console in question, in this case the Wii, and topics like these never go well. Your choice of language is particularly pushing your attempt beyond just being off-topic and into trolling territory. If you want to make that type of thread, "System Wars" might be a better fit for you.

(2) Discussion of playing ROMs on emulators, or any other discussion surrounding encouraging or admitting to piracy of intellectual property, is strictly forbidden on Gamespot. You're level indicates that you've been here long enough to know better.

(3) Don't bypass the censor. It forces us to either clean up your censor bypasses, or just take the easy route and close the thread. Given the added affects of points 1 and 2 above, I am taking the latter route.
