[QUOTE="justinmolnar"]I think it is so hard to find because everyone wants one and Nintendo did not anticipate the huge want for this system and now they cant catch upjbuch9
so true. have you guys seen their stocks?!?
its truly amazing.
correct
it's a marketing scam plain and simple. there's no way a giant company like nintendo can't make enough systems after a full year since release, if ya think otherwise you've been fool by their marketing division.iwilson1296

You guys are all wrong. If u understand the meaning of the word MARKETING TECHNIQE.Thats is what they are doing. Here it is: they make loads then they only ship 15 to a store and they dont tell them that they have more, then people buy them, then they keep getting sold out, and people are saying that " wow that system must be good becuase it is getting sold out we should buy it". Nintendo keep repeating this and that is there trick. IF U THINK ABOUT IT, IT IS A VERY DIRTY CLEVER TRICK, THEY ARE SMART PEOPLE.

Right. So what you're saying is that Nintendo hate money?
The problem is, unlike you'll find with PS and XBox, the Wii is popular ALL OVER the world. PS and XBox are limted, for example, US, England, Germaly, etc.
They really can't make them fast enough, on a worldwide basis. Really.Me
everyone I know think I am right and I am right becuase it is a scam if u think about it deeply. And put ur selves in Nintendo's shoes and u think to ur sel "how could we make the Wii sell more. That is where the scam comes in.

they're making so much money it's not even funny, and this allows them and others to put out all these "bend over" bundles that include a $250 system and one or a few lame games that don't sell and charge insane prices because well if ya want one you'll spend all kinds of money to get one. it's a huge hype machine.iwilson1296
Yeah, not so much. Nintendo isn't making those bundles; retailers are. In fact, didn't Reggie speak out against bundles recently?
In fact, if Nintendo were making the bundles, the games in them wouldn't be crap. Nearly every game Nintendo puts out for this system is like turning plastic discs to gold.it's a marketing scam plain and simple. there's no way a giant company like nintendo can't make enough systems after a full year since release, if ya think otherwise you've been fool by their marketing division.iwilson1296
I kind of agree with you. You would think that an entire year after it's release they would get their production line going faster and get more into stores.
But nevertheless I really don't care anymore because I got one at launch.

I've been waiting to see someone say that. If you already have one...what's the point in arguing about it on a forum. I really don't care why there's a shortage. I've got mine. Nothing else really matters. They're just too popular. Pretty much everyone in the world has heard of the Wii, and most of those people are wanting to buy one. They've got factories making hundreds of thousands of consoles a month, but they have to send them around the world. At that rate, each store gets maybe 10 or so. And what are the odds you'll get one out of 10 Wiis? Very, very low.
Only real way to get one is either:
A. Ebay. 'Nuff said.
B. Get really lucky and find one in a store. Smaller stores like Game Crazy are your best bet, that's where I got mine. Most people check huge stores like Walmart, so those stores sometimes go unnoticed.
If the scarity problem is a "scam," why is it that state attorney generals like Mario Cuomo from New York (New York is known to investigate corporate crimes) or the Federal Trade Commission begin investigating Nintendo?
I think claims of supply scam is nothing more than anti-Nintendo libel made by partisan gamers who resent the impressive success the Wii has over their favorite console or based on ignorance of how supply and demand works.

thank you for writing my thoughts exactly. cuz im lazy
Simply because everyone wants a Wii, and they are getting sold out. Go to your local gamerstore and ask them if they have any in stock, if not, order one or ask them to hold one for you. The Wii has taken over as the most popular console in to world, so dont owrry too much:)
