Why so much hate to the Wii U...???

Look I have the console since September 2015 and I bought mainly because I wanted to help Nintendo. But so far I don't know why it gets so much rage. It has its fair share of excellent pieces such as the Wind Waker, The Twillight Princess and the Breath of the Wild. What's more it has it's share of racing games Need for Speed, action games Batman and the Zombie U and COD if you are into FPS. I mean if you're not exactly hardcore why you rage at the console so much? How much time do you play Video Games daily 20 hours? And if that so you finished the Campaign play it again and go do something different in your life. Enjoy what the console offers and stop arguing if it's good or bad. For me it's not excellent but it's QUITE decent.

What hate? I think the Wii U has reached a point where people recognize that it has many great exclusives.

I think people want Nintendo to be the company it was in the 80s and 90s again and it's just not that company anymore sadly. They still make good games, but they aren't the dominant company they once were. Of course, the rose-colored glasses effect is in play too.

The mainstream audience hates it for the gimmicky controls, lack of 3rd party support, poor online infrastructure, high price relative to competition, and low specs. It depends on the person.

Nintendo has decided they are going to always put their focus on young gamers. Those of us that complain were ok with that when we were young but expected Nintendo to grow with us like Sony and Microsoft have but they refuse. I can still play my old NES and Snes and get a lot of enjoyment out of it. I don't feel like the current stuff really has the inspiration the old stuff did. Add gimicky controllers that I find very unenjoyable to use and I'm pretty much done. The fall has been long though and for me it started at the Nintendo 64. Hate is a strong emotion and I hate what Nintendo is doing because I used to love what they were doing. Anyone who is too young to have experienced the early days can feel indifferent but I cant.

It's because of the software.

Microsoft and Sony fanboys hate that they can't do anything to stop the unstoppable mushroom brigade.

Nintendo fans wish the system had more power so they didn't need to buy another one just to play games that both other consoles get.

Is this a troll post? You opened with naming 2 remastered games and a game not even released yet that's been delayed for 2 years

Time with the machine gives you more perspective.

Also, you mentioned two remastered older Zelda games, and then posted a delayed Zelda game coming to NX as well.

It doesn't present an impressive argument.

I'd just make one simple observation. From what I've seen, the people who "hate" the Wii U are also people who don't own one.

Honestly, I think it's that simple.

If you own a Wii U, you very quickly realise that the hatred isn't justified at all. It's hard to appreciate a console - and easy to criticise it - if you've never owned it.

That said, I don't know why anyone would "hate" a piece of plastic and silicon, honestly. It's just a game console, people. I would honestly be worried if gaming stuff ever stirred up feelings of hate in my mind - to me, hating something (or someone) is one of the strongest-possible emotions.

If I got that worked up about games, I'd honestly probably go and get some counselling.

Nintendo fans have a great deal of difficulty accepting the fact that actual owners do not hold this console in high regard.

The only people that "hate" it are people who have a vested interest in hating it (PS4, XB1, PC). Mostly people are neutral towards it, which has another problem altogether: no sales.

Why has a thread created by an apparent troll lasted so long? Yes, I'm contradicting myself by posting on it, but I have a reason why. Please lock this thread.
