I've read a few people's posts who actually support the idea of Mii's in Brawl? To those you want mii functionality, are you flippin mad? Here's a list of just some of the reasons why Miis should not be playable in Brawl:

1. Mii's are not superstar Nintendo characters

2. Mii's look generic and bland

3. Brawl's highly detailed look would be very arkward with generic Mii's walking around

4. What attacks what they have? And even if you do get the set the moves, that would take up precious development time that could be spent putting in actual nintendo characters in the game, or put in a create-a-stage mode, which Brawl needs in order to 1up on Melee.

5. And if you could give them the moves, it would be cloned attacks from other characters, or generic uninspired punch and kick moves.

6. Their dorky smiles would drive me up the wall.

7. It's insults and excludes proper character design. Imagine people rather picking a doll that was put together in 2 minutes than a true Nintendo icon that was designed months in development. I just imagine the announcement from the Melee commentator: "GANONDORF VERSUS.................................your dad?"

8. "Where Nintendo's All-Stars go toe to toe" - that excludes Miis!

Mii's could be the new fighting wire frames, or be a minor cameo appearance, or even be a some kind of trophy, but they should stay away from the roster.

I never thought about it before. But i agree it wouldn't be the best idea to have them playable.. maybe a stage in the story mode where they all fight you?     It would be awesome if they made some sort of appearance

The idea came from seeing Mr. Game & Watch in SSBM. I'd like to have playable Miis in SSBB, even if they're stuck with a generic set of moves. They wouldn't seem any more out of place than Mr. G&W himself.

I think miis should be included, but not as controlable character. They should b e used like wireframes, so you can punch the dorky smiles off their faces

The idea of playing a serious game with a Mii character is really funny i reckon. I'm not saying just for this game but i think it would be fun  if all Wii games had an option to put Mii's in it. haha your playing Resident Evil and your Mii character of your mum comes towards you!!! Lol, i'm laughing just thinking about it :)

To me, all of those reasons only further justify why Miis should be in the game. But i really hope they make an appearance in the campaign/mission modes somewhere.

I have been thinking a lot about this.
If Mii's were in... Don't you think it will only be Mii vs Mii battles instead of the old skool battles.
If they were to use Mii's. My guess would be to include 1 Mii made by Nintendo and call him Super Mii or something.
If people could choose it would ruin the game IMO.

Another option could be. At the beginning choose your Mii and that Mii will be a boss stage in the game.

Mii vs. Mii battles... think about it.  Jesus Mii vs. Chuck Norris Mii... the epic battle for supremacy!

I'm all for Miis as playable characters since they are technically a Nintendo creation, although extremely customizable and fairly generic.  I wouldn't have multiple Miis chosen in a battle, though... we can't have it Super Smash Mii: Brawl like the Weslii said.  One Mii per match.

Miis in the Story Mode makes sense, too... have the Miis replace the wireframes... take out 30 Miis at once, sounds like fun.

thats what i was just thinking, they look better than game and watch and about the same as Ness.. they just wouldnt have that great of moves thats all.. i just like the idea cuz it adds another character even though it probably wouldnt be a popular choice.

Why do people get so touchy about Smash Bros. characters? If the Miis are in it, and you don't like it, just don't play as them.

I think playing a Mii would be awesome!!  They would look kinda like Ness, and Ness seems to fit.  And the moves would'nt necessarily be cloned attacks.  All the Mii's could have a unique set all to themselves.  Maybe they will use bowling balls, baseball bats, boxing gloves and tennis rackets with their moves. :)

i agree the wii sports stuff seems reasonable for the Miis in SSBB besides nintendo said they would be incorperating more mii related stuff so why not. besides nintendo says its all about the fans so how about your own mii kicking the ass of snake or mario or anyone in the game for that matter

I actually thought of Mr. Game & Watch before even opening up the thread. I like the idea of playing with my Mii characters. Mii against Link = awesomeness.

Just face it, Mii's are a part of Nintendo and will be a part of Nintendo history like the other characters in the games, you know they'll include them eventually, why not now?

How are they less out of place that Game and Watch? G&W was an actual Nintendo character (whereas Miis are a generic 3d avatar that can be customized to your liking) and at least some of the stuff he does is recognizable (other moves may be from games I didn't play).

Mii vs. Mii battles... think about it. Jesus Mii vs. Chuck Norris Mii... the epic battle for supremacy!

Does it matter? If they did include them, you don't have to play as them. You could just pretend they weren't there. Oh btw if they did have attacks, they could hold a wiimote in their hands at all times and it could transform into sword and stuff.

I would love to see Mii's in Brawl.  All of their attacks would be borrowed from Wii sports/Play, which may I remind you is kinda cheap when you consider giving them a bowling ball projectile, a three pose jump, and an automatic baseball bat?  Gag character aside, it would be fun to see the kirby stage be replaced with Wii arena or have a stage set up like the Wii channel Menu (with your real channels popping up to be plaforms).  Like everyone else says, if you don't like it, chances are that Brawl will have something fun that you can do online.  This is just another way to play.

I like that about the wiimote weapon!  It could be a projectile (light gun style) or a sword (LoZ style) or a bat (Wii Sports style), or any number of things.  I don't know why people get so riled up about NOT having Miis in SSB.  Miis represent part of what Nintendo's strategy is for this generation.  I think being able to play Chuck Norris vs. Mr. Rogers would be great!!  Can somebody start a poll to see who would/would not like Miis in SSB?  (I don't know how to do polls or I'd do it myself.  Sorry!)

If they could use the Mii model of our choice in the game then it would be like "Me" fighting Mario or Zelda or Pitt.  That would be fun!  even if only for the idea of it.

It seems to me you listed a game that would be great as a stand alone idea or product. This is SUPER SMASH BROS we're talking about - it's like putting in Mii's in incredibly random or any sort of game just for the sake of including them. It's almost like including the guy who's always left out in being picked for sport teams, primarily because he sucks. And so do Miis.

Maybe I wouldn't get angry over a totally seperate mini-game mode of mii inclusion - it was fleshed out and such. That could actually work. But it wouldn't work in the main game, definitely not.

Wow...  People get really insulted when other people have an idea that doesn't fit into their world view.

Stop getting all riled up over something so silly.  If Nintendo adds Miis, (which I personally would love) you're not forced to pick them as a fighter.  As far as I'm concerned, Miis are superstar characters.  I'm hoping for the opportunity to smack Kirby around with Dwight Shrute!

As far as moves?  Give em Wii Sports like moves, like baseball bats, ranged bowling attacks etc.  Even generic attacks will work.

Why not? The Ness argument is perfect, he doesn't look any better than a mii. And the miis are the new Nintendo thing. the miis make as much or more sense than Snake or Sonic.

I agree completely.  Everyone is getting so into the idea of Sonic being in SSB (which I have no problem with) when he isn't even anywhere NEAR being a Nintendo character, when one of Nintendo's most original ideas for the Wii so far (i.e. Miis) is being pushed aside.  And PLEASE, no one else claim it would "ruin the game."  Did having Mr. Game and Watch in Melee ruin it?  Ice Climbers?  Two of the most hated characters (my apologies to G&W and Ice Climbers fans) had NO effect even resembling "ruining" the game.  So chill a little, ok?

Oh for the love of everything, NO MIIS PLEASE! I COMPLETELY agree with the TC. The Miis dont even look cool. There are WAY to little options for the Mii. Most of the things look stupid in my opinion. If the Wiis ARE in Brawl, I hope that they are only there to replace the wire frames, or you can send them out with an item (like a MiiBall or something). But they should definitely not be in the roster.

Until you brought it up I hadn't thought about it.  I think it would be great to have a character I created in Brawl.  My own Charicature would be more immersive and fun.  Look at me, I am beating up Link and Mario.

I think it would be cool to use Miis if u could use moves of the different characters. For example, u could have Captain Falcon's punch, Yoshi's kick, Kirby's punch, and Link's hookshot. You could end up making the ultimate SSB fighter by combining all the right moves. Thoughts?

I've read a few people's posts who actually support the idea of Mii's in Brawl? To those you want mii functionality, are you flippin mad? Here's a list of just some of the reasons why Miis should not be playable in Brawl:

1. Mii's are not superstar Nintendo characters

see but Mii's are superstar Nintendo characters your not going to find them in a ps3 or 360 game.

What fighting moves did Captain Falcon ever have before they stuck him in SSB?  Fox?  Think about it.  These aren't REAL people limited by a history of inactivity and obesity.  They are pixels programmed by Nintendo to do whatever will be fun and well-received by gamers.  Loosen up a little.  There are TONS of possibilities for the Miis.  Just use your imagination a little!
