Why the wii is a huge dissapointment for me

I own a wii and a PS3 and i must say im extemely dissapointed with the WII...

Why you ask? Not capable to play the right games...

Dont get me wrong i love the motion sensor thing but it just cant play the awsome games like CoD4, Assasins creed, MGS4, Haze etc.

I really wanted the WII to amaze me but sadly it cant...

I dont really care about mario, sonic etc.

The only wii game of interest to me is probably No More Heroes which isnt out yet

I just want some other opinions on this here...

Sell your console. I don't know why you should have it, if there's only 1 game you care about.

I would not buy the PS3 if I have 1 game that I care. That's the same for the 360.

Very valid question. I don't think it's a big secret that the main reason to buy a Nintendo console is for the first party titles.

I am more disappointed with the developers support of the system. The Wii could be capable of decent last gen graphics, but nobody but Nintendo is even trying to reach that lofty goal. At least companies like EA have solved the FPS controls with the stellar MoHH2, but the graphics are worse than a first gen ps2 game...whats the excuse for that? You just have to be careful with the software you buy for the Wii, and be patient for the really good games, which will be few and far between, as with all Nintendo consoles.Videodogg

The graphics are good enough for me, and look better than before, so I'm notcomplaining, and the gameplay is great, so again I'm not complaining.

Well it doesn't sound like you like Nintendo games, so I don't seewhy you bought it just because of the sensor controller, because thenwhat were you expecting to useit for?

Sounds like you were just a little curious about the motion sensor controls and got caught up in the try and find the hottest selling system hype wihtout researching the titles it has, i mean even though every other game you listed in your post your PS3 can play so you already have the best of both worlds.

Even though Super Mario Galaxy is the highest rated game on the planet now, you say you don't like Mario, thats ok, but there are other cool titles, Metroid Prime 3, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Battalion Wars 2, Zelda T.P., Resident 4 & Umbrella Chronicles, Madden, and many more.

Well hey if none of these appeal to you then make yourself a nice profit and put it on ebay or craigslist.com, because honestly you don't sound like much of a Nintendo fan, which is ok but don't squander money out of mere curiosity because if you don't like it after you get it, then that is a real waste.

driver paralel lines also another good example it looks a little more polished then the xbox1 version and that looked better then the ps2 and psp versions. you just gotta play the right titles

Why did you buy the console then? Research research. I bought the Wii specifically for its amazing first party titles and a few good 3rd party efforts that are exclusive to the system. If I want COD4 i'd play it on my PC where the shooter reigns supreme.

lol im a PC Gamer that plays mostly shooters so i did a tonne of research before purchasing my Wii. the final outcome...i love it! haha im not the biggest mario fan but ill still definitely grab SMG and Mario Kart and the like, my roots lie with Sonic in all honesty (im a sega master system kid from back in like.. 91?) but the other games on Wii are still awesome fun. i've even been spending up on second hand gamecube games, since they seem to have a lot more variety with pretty much the same graphics (not that those matter) and theres more of them. i bought copies of Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike before i even had my Wii in hand at home.

seriously, dude, you rushed into it and your kicking yourself for it. doesnt mean you dog the entire system. PS3's are also wikid IMO..awesome graphics on a 1080 res. 50" Plasma (what my mate uses) and the games are equally as fun as any system, in their own right. the intention by the console dev's was never to compare the Wii to a PS3 or even an X360 (sorry, do not like Xbox systems AT ALL).. its simply an alternative to console gaming. having both is, IMO, a bonus and something you should feel happy about even being able to afford. buy your shooter games for the PS3, even your RPG's. get your fun fantasy/adventure games for the Wii. Wii's single-player experience is yeah a little slower than say a PS3 game, but when it comes to 2+ players, hands down the Wii has way more to offer.

Why buy a console thats built around the success of its mascots like Mario and Zelda if you dont even like them. You buy a Nintendo console for its exclusives, not for the multi-platform stuff that gets churned out by the likes of EA!killeryoda85
