I think all current wi-fi enabled games have a mode where you dont have to use friend codes if thats what you mean by friends. Good wi-fi games are, mario strikers charged, Battalion Wars 2, medal of honor heroes 2, madden 08, guitar hero 3, and some great ones like smash bros brawl on the way.
