Is the wii component cable compatible with Gamecube?

I just eBay'ed one, and i'd like all the picture quality i can get :P

No they are completely different cables. I used to own one. If you want a Gamecube component cable they are very expensive because of how rare they are. If you have the Wii hooked up with component cables and play gamecube games it'll work though. You just can't use the wii component cables on the Gamecube console itself.

ah, well, thanks for the help :)

I guess i'll just stick to my Composite cables

i'll leave pretty pictures to my ps3 :P

Why not just play GC games on your Wii with the component cables hooked up. It's works that way,

Because... i don't have a wii?
I was just asking about the cable, since they are more readily available than the Gamecube cable

I was just asking about the cable, since they are more readily available than the Gamecube cable

....Saying you "EBayed one" implies you purchased the Wii component cable, I assumed you had a Wii since it wouldn't make much sense if you bought it without researching first....

All the more reason to buy a Wii now......you've already got the Wii component cables on the way! Good timing too......SSBB comes out next week! And other games make it a great purchase.......Mario Galaxy....etc., etc.,

Don't bother, just go on Amazon, I've seen them as low as $2.50, new.
