Ok I got my wii cooling fan in today and it works really good and the side of my wii is no longer warmish hot it is now rather cool, I was wondering does anyone know if its ok to leave it on at all times, because the only way 2 turn it off is to take it off the usb ports!

There's no reason for a cooling fan for the Wii in the first place.

I know but it was cheap and it actually works good, but i was just wondering if it was ok to leave it running at all times so the wii is always cooled down!

Is it kind of like the one for the 360? It couldn't hurt to leave it on I guess, but it will get dust in your Wii faster than if it weren't plugged in. It may shorten your Wii's lifespan, constantly drawing power from it, but I don't think it would shorten it by any significant amount.

Oh okay. I guess if it doesn't blow in, it probably has to blow air out of it. Either way, I'm guessing it's going to facilitate the flow of air through the Wii in some direction. I dunno, I haven't seen what it looks like and I'm just assuming that it works kinda like the one for the 360. :)

yeah it looks like the one for the 360 except smaller! I have my wii on standby and 24/7 so its constally blowing but it does keep it cool, i think its safe!

Yeah, it probably is safe. I heard reports though, of the 360 fan burning up or something and damaging the console itself as a result. I hope the same thing doesn't happen with the one for the Wii

HAHA! Isn't that ironic! The cooling system lights the console on fire? funny :D

It's unnecessary in the first place.

Indeed. The Wii doesn't really use enough power to need external cooling like that. It uses about 10% of the power that a computer or PS3 uses at any given time.
