Ok does anybody remeber the nintendo 64DD well if not do not feel bad because not to many do. Here is a little clue of what it is Click herewell it was basically used to enhance the n64's graphics by turning it into a disk driveand upping the presentation putting the graphics at the level of the ps1's and beyond here is a video of some of the unbelieveable things it could do based on the time it was made.click herenow if you don't know were I am going here you must be retarded. What if nintendo uped the wii's graphics by sending out something similar to this. I mean wii owners aren;t really expecting amazing graphics but who's to say that we can't have a choice my question is... if we could have better graphics that rival other next gen systems would you want them?

Im not sure thats the best idea.

Remember the Genesis? Great console, horrific add-ons.

Sega CD and Sega 32x = pile of cr@p. AVGN set the record straight on that.

Anyway I think the graphics on Galaxyand SSBBlook fine. For me artwork will always enrich a game more than sheer graphical power.

I don't like the idea at all. This pretty much forces the company to develop games for regular Wii and Wii DD. Meaning that fewer games will ultimately go to any gamer that doesn't own both. The Wii has never been based on graphics and to memory, has never tried to sell itself as a system that way. Anyone who doesn't like the look should simply move on to one of the competitors. Personally the games to me by no means look bad. They just don't stand up against the 'competition'.

The nintendo 64 was way more powerful than the ps1 so i don't know what you're talking about when you say 'to bring it to ps1 level'. The only thing that screwed the n64 was the limited cartridge space leading to stingy textures due to lack of space on disk.

Also graphics accelerators could be put directly onto the cartridges, negating the need for addons. The snes had the super fx chips etc, giving it polygon rendering capabilities.
