Wii DVD Player Confirmed?

I'm not sure if this has been posted but if that's true, I think it's a really stupid idea. Everyone has a DVD player these days and if they add more than a DVD feature, I will be very angry because I'm not buying another wii only a few years after it launches. What are your guys'/girls' opinions on this?

You want to watch DVD buy a DVD player. DVD playback on consoles is one of the most useless thing.

I'd take a hard drive over a DVD player, but I don't care if a new model sporting DVD-playing capabilities is released. Doesn't really affect me either way.Michael85

I sure hope they announce a hard drive at E3, that way we could have a demo channel and it could be like the 360 marketplace (kinda lol).

if it had Blue-Ray playback, yes.

otherwise no.

i doubt nintendo would release one with a hdd i think theyll release a usb one instead so we all dont need to buy a new one

No... I've already got enough things that play DVDs... the Wii doesn't need such an upgrade.

Now a hard drive? I'll vote for that.
