[QUOTE="coonana"] [QUOTE="FunWithMatches"]You know, sure I like the ideas of the extreme sports you mentioned, but one stood out in my head: Paintball. How amazing would that be?!?! You run around using the analog stick, look and shoot with the Wiimote, do peaks by being crouched against a barrier and pressing the c or z button to lean left or right, the one or two button could be reload, perhaps they could have a headset to talk with other players....and if the Mii's are involved, maybe the ability to unlock different markers and trick out your gear like different helmets, shirts, etc. Oh man...Mii paintball, I'm totally in. Exactly this is the one I would like the most. Not only because Im on a Paintball Team but because using the Wiimote for effective aiming and using the Miis to shoot the crap out of them would be pure ownage. I am thinking that the game should be behind the back third person view. There could be different guns but they have to be extremely accessible and easy to apply. I was think 4 player splitscreen, 16 player system link up and online play. I dont think CO2 and Paintball refills are necessary, they should just be infinite. See all the painball games I have seen are never good enough on a stand alone basis but with all these other games there with the Miis its perfect.
They could eve get it sponsored I am guessing by some of the major paintball companies.
Exactly! Paintball companies are always trying to find ways to get their names out there and get kids to play. What better way then to get the kids, teenagers, and even parents into the world of paintball then with Mii's? Sure its not the same, but it gets the thought that, "hey, maybe we should go try this!" For me, paintball is something I can't really afford nor do I have much time to do it with all the work i do, but this could make for a great game, or even a minigame type scenario like Wii Sports. Minigames could include targe practice, bunker rushing, and leaning techniques. I think 3rd person behind the back is a good idea, but rather than centering the Mii, you do a Gears of War/RE4 side back view...and depending on whether you're right or left handed could come into play with that. This would allow for run and gun, but when you stop moving or get up to a bunker you go closer towards your character and when you zoom you can look down the barrel. I'd also hope for a "cartoony" look...simply because it worked well for Wii Sports and I think it would make for a paintball game that anyone would want to play. Sure it won't be a substitute for the real thing, but I can see playing paintball with my Mii online and with friends from my dorm hall. If nintendo is smart (or whoever makes the game) they could also make a map editor. You could make the map(s), then launch a server and allow your friends to play online with you, or choose from standard paintball courses with blowup bunkers, scenario maps in forests, deserts, mountains etc with different buildings to capture or objectives. This could be good stuff...
well there truly is not a substitute for paintballing. But this would be the best way to go because all other paintball games suck. The Miis should get the gear like Face Mask and Paintball gun with the CO2, Hopper(where you store the paintballs), barrel, and all.
The shirts and shorts should be the same as regular paintball gear but whatever color shirt and pants your Mii was created with that will be the color of his shirts and pants. You can also had extra accessories like gloves and boots.
Remember all this stuff is only possible if they can keep it low key and very easy to apply to their Miis.
A Map editor is very smart. I like that idea. It would be very easy with the Wiimote to manipulate the toolsin a way that it is very easy to make new maps.
They of course can have theor own maps with places that are Mii oriented.
