I think what you saw about the Demo channel was actually an article on channels that people would like to see...not channels that are actually in the making.
However, a demo channel would be great I think. Hope they do it.
[QUOTE="chansaet"]I hope so. Thats why I bought a 2GB SD Card For in hopes of a demo channel.vilevactrue that man. but it will suk if u have to pay for them. but if there free, i'm just gona download them for the hell of it u kno.... I can't see them charging for demos. They want you to try out the games so you would buy them. The demos on X360 are free (no need for gold membership for xbox live silver works for demos).
the demo channel would be awesome. i would love to see how a new game embraces the controles, and how it plays and everything before i get it. i just like the channel system so much, endless possibilities. lets all pray for good multiplayer too while were at it.hackett80true that man
hey cool, i just sent an email to ninty suggesting that
maybe if every1 sends them that idea then they might actually do it
is a perty sweet idear
As the poster said above, there isnt enough internal memory. I wouldnt think its possible to have demos.  hiho24They do have SD card slots. I got a 2GB SD card right now and alot of people have those things. For cameras etc. Also there pretty cheap right now. buy.com has a 2GB Kingsington for $10 after rebate. So I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=202743332&adid=17070&dcaid=17070

proof, kinda............ 2005. they've kept alot of recent promises so,....
thats not the problem. something they could do is, u only can have 2 at one time, and i'm SHURE 2 WOUlDn'T take up THAT much space. and like OTHERS have SAID, ..............................SD CARDS!!!!!!!!!!! Nintendo has been thinking of this, it's not a NEW thought to them. y they added a sd slot to the wii is EXACTLY FOR REASONS LIKE THIS!!!! PLEASE, NO MORE posts like THIS!!Like others have said there isn't enough storage on the Wii.

Memory. Have it to where you download it, play it, and it deletes itself once you are done playing with it. It is a demo, not a game where you are going to keep forever.thegame27_basicthats a really good idea. and thats so true, that were not gona keep it for ever, like a game. unless ur a lil freeloader, or somethin like that
dude demo channel would be free and a demo only lasts as long as the system stays on that is true.merchWhat are you talking about... Screw SD-cards. They need to allow for hard drives
i highly doubt the likelyness of a demo channel for the wii. The flash memory is 512 mb. The maximum size of a PS1 game is 750 mb. A wii game is on a DVD format it has about 4.6 GB of storage space available. Unless the release a hard drive for the wii... maybe via those usb ports on the back this channel is very unlikely. The game would have to be dumbed down to pretty low standards. DS-Demo channel: entirely plausible. Maybe an original work on the shop channel... but demos are impossible at this point. Also, there's no way to store your VC games on an SD card and who knows if they will ever allow you to use them for anything useful at all. So all the talk about buying an SD card for demos... i'm sorry folks but you probably wasted your money.GENIUS!!!!!!!....DEMO'S AREN'T THE ENTIRE GAME!!!!!!!!!! there only a portion, like, 1/50!!! and...that's.........according to u......is about 15MB.!!!!!!!!! DO DA DOOO!!!! they don't EVER give u the ENTIRE game as a demo....honestly, ARE U STUPID?
EDIT: Just read that IGN article, the games they're talking about are not Demos, but original works like i had mentioned. Not full on wii games, but rather like the XBOX live arcade's Geometry Wars or the PS3's Flow.
I personally think this is a great idea, but seeing as both the other companies charge for these games I assume nintendo will aswell. The small size of the flash memory will still get in the way... IMO.

.... i know a demo isnt the entire game. You're not going to be able to store them on an SD card, it would take too much time to load. The least i can see one of these games taking up is about 400 mb. The flash drive in the wii can hold up to 512 mb... so most people will bearly have room to fit any on there especially if they download VC games. It stated in the article these are, and i quote, "garage-style" games. Which to me sounds like full versions of minature little games. I was just stating what i believe to be the facts... You on the other hand just immaturely attack someone for thinking differently than you. A demo is not the size of 1/50th of a game...you're just pulling numbers out of your ass to try and make yourself look important when you don't actually know what you're talking about.Well, there are loads of 360 demos that only take 1-300mb. And besides, the Wii games are smaller.
