I didn't think that Call of Duty 4 could work for the Wii, so my guess is that it will be horrible for the Wii and even worse than that for the PS2.

if history has taught us anything, is that if it's on the ps2 as well, chances are, it's gonna be a port.

i'll be extremely shocked if it's a version built from the ground up for wii. but it's doubtful

I highlighted a word. It is an important word. The word "AND" and the word "FROM" are two different words. Nowhere in your article does it say it say that the wii version will be ported FROM the PS2 version.

I don't see why you guys think the Wii versions online will suck.

Okay, friend codes out the window. Activision didn't use friend codes for Guitar Hero 3, or well you didn't need them.

MOH: Heroes 2 doesn't even have them

But okay, why would you go through the work of putting all the fun online stuff on one DVD for 360, and after taking out the HD programming and some of the high res. memory wouldn't there be even more space for Wii features?

And why on earth would they take good online portions out if they spent money on making it for others in the first place.

The online has little to do with a systems hardware. The developer makes the matches, framerate,maps,weapons.

All of that hasn't much to do with anything but software. And I'm pretty sure PSN or XBL isn't the reason COD 4 runs so well online and is fun, ACTIVISION IS.

Because they have teams devoted to keep the online gaming balanced, and fun, and problem free.

So why not? Sure graphics won't be as good, and going back to WW2 is a real joke.

But MP3's controls, with deep online sounds like a fun frag fest.

Besides, Call of Duty 4 is overated. It shouldn't be GOTY anywhere. Its like naming Madden GOTY.

Its good for its genre but lacks any real depth, and doesn't branch off into other aspects of shooters enough to say its better than a 6 hour SP shoot out with good online. It isn't revolutionary. Its overhyped.

I'd take TF 2, or Warhawk any day above this but thats me. Hopefully its good.

Doesn't bother me that much. Even without a PS2 version, you are going to see a degraded version of the Xbox 360, right?

Like i said before in another thread. Gonna suck because:
1. Most likely a port (not confirmed)
2. Lazy Developer work, no care taken into the game
3. IW not working on it = suck
4. Limited, or even, lack of online = suck
5. FPS = Suck in general.

Now, you listen to me, I am a Level 28 Bionic Commando (lol), and nowhere that I know of has stated any info about this game, how do you know it's gonna be made by treyarch? How do you know that the Ps2 version is not gonna be the one that gets the port? Which one makes more sense, building a game from scratch on a dying console, or the most popular current gen console? And how do you guys know its WW2? Proof please. Now stop your boo hoo's until we get more info about this game, and don't tell me about my god dam comma splices or grammar!! Ryder123

There is NO conformation that it is a PS2 port.

dunno who willis is, but the way order in which you said it meant that you use the console on the game, meaning that otehr consoles can be used on that very same game. That's not possible, saying it the other way round means that other games can be used on that very same console.

and like I said before... another FPS based on war.. i pass.. 1-2 is enough in my collection...

I am not sure that it will be a port from a Playstation 2 version, but if it's started from scratched and built specifically for the Wii, I can see Call of Duty Five being a very good game.
