I don't consider, as far as I know it's a more powerful system.
Right now the graphics are not better. Some people blame the developers but i highly doubt it's their fault. Far Cry looks 10 times better on the first Xbox than it does on Wii and i suspect it's because the Wii is lacking on certain requirements. Why else would they dumb it down so much? Also COD3 and splinter cell are not impressive.
Personally I think they just used the engine they made for the ps2 game which got cancelled and didn't bother making a new engine for the Wii, the same goes for splinter cell and other third party titles.
Remember the Wii doesn't support shader model 2.0 which makes it difficult to port any xbox game such as farcry and splinter cell to Wii, to get excellent looking Wii games you will need to build a new engine which developers ain't going to do when they want to just rush a game out for launch or port one over quickly.
The Wii specs are far superior to the Xbox so the Wii can have bigger environments and more detailed visuals than any xbox game. The small annoyance of not having shader model 2.0 means the xbox will have the slight advantage visually on any third party title (which uses sm 2.0)Â that is ported to the Wii.
The comparison with the PS2 is just a joke, there was many games on the GC which looked far superior to any game on the PS2. RE4, Mario Sunshine, Pikmin 1 & 2, MP 1 & 2, Zelda WW, F-Zero GX etc...
