Well when I first hooked my Wii up to a HD tv via componet cables it did have a yellowish green tint to every thing. But when I tried again today it works fine.

it's impossible to set your wii to HD, it doesn't support HD. it does suppport 480p however. does red steel look better in standard definition than in 480p?

Personally, I think Zelda looks like crap on my HDTV too. The Wii is not HD. So, don't expect games to look good on your HDTV.

A lot of it is also what TV you have

If you have LCD or plasma you're never going to get as good of a picture as if you have a CRT
If you have a TV that's trying to upscale everything it's going to hurt the image more times then not.

I have an HDTV and am able to run my wii and red steel in progressive scan. I think Red Steel looks far better in 480p than 480i.

If you're comparing it to Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2 and PS3 games, then off course it's going to look like crap on an HDTV. The graphics aren't exactly a strong point of that game.

What are you talking about with the XBOX and PS2?
Those two also look poor in most cases on HDTV with the cables.

Actually it took XBOX until the last year of the console to get games that didn't look like crap on HDTV's and PS2 still doesn't look right on them, they just look good compred to it's power
Research a little next time

Component cables for the Wii enhance the color selections and reduce lag on HD capable TVs, I think that alone was worth it for me.

The progressive scan inproves the graphics quite a bit from what i've seen. There was an article a few months ago that showed the difference look under past features.
