I have a 1080i HDTV which i play my wii on, and whenever i play on that tv, the left and bottom parts of the screen get cut off. for example, in wii sports tennis, when i click on tennis in the sports menu, the T in tennis gets cut off. and in twilight princess, i cant see how many rupees i have since the bottom is cut off. i tried fixing the left part by moving the screen position but it only goes up to 8, and its still not enough to fix the left side.

will component cables fix this issue?

My TV has this option called "Overscan" which zooms into the photo and cuts off the edges a bit. maybe thats turned on?

you say it happens with your cable too? then its mostlikely on 16x9 zoom or "overscan" or what not in aspect, screen position or whatever your TV calls it. Consider looking in the manual if you are still at a loss. If thats not it, i'd say there might be soemthign wrong with that TV... not sure what todo at that point

btw, i think wii has a creen position thing where you can move it around. At least so you can see how many rupees you have ;)

the wii only lets me move it left or right. and it only goes up to -8 and the left side still isnt good enough. arrgh.....maybe i should get a new living room tv. this 1080i 48 inch tv has been here for 6 years now, and ive lost the manual.

You know this happens to some TV brands. I have heard it on the internet and it's happened to some friends too. There really isn't much you can do.
