He means that the video corrupts somewhere on the screen, it could be that the video card GPU or the system CPU is running hot (more than likely GPU), or a bad code interface with the driver on the game's behalf...does this happen with all games or just a few? There's two options to try: unplug it for about 10-20 minutes and let it cool off completely and then try again, or try to run the wii in an open space where there is good airflow (if you dont already).

(I just hope that it isn't a corrupt video card, I am sure it is not...maybe a recent update from Nintendo caused this? (they might include new video drivers from ATi too))
ATi is sometimes notorious for artifacts appearing (especially in linux with their sh!tty fglrx drivers that are closed source)
