So you have a problem with one of the most popular franchises on the Wii?
yes i do. lego star wars is one of the dumbest games i've played i hope that this isn't the lightsaber game lucasarts was hinting at.
I know, my anticipation for the Wii's E3 showcase this year is kinda flopping.it's a port !!!
so, the wiimote will be used like in zelda
waza000
you will only slash it anyside you want and it will do a random attack, not based of the angle of your movement or strenght or w/e you want it to be
I TRUELY HOPE NOBODY WAS CURRENTLY HYPING THIS GAME
Hey, long as it's cheap, will be a worthwhile pickup for those who never purchased the original two titles anyhow....
But yeah, does suck that it isn't exactly what we were wanting with regards to lightsaber action.
(not that I don't mind what is essentially Lego Star Wars1&2 in the same package)
You people should not have given your hopes up............
I think LEGO Star wars will be fantasic! just be happy were even getting a game with lightsabers in it..........
Where does it say that the lightsaber game is lego star wars?. I only read alot of asumptions. I need facts!!!.Glitch321
These assumptions aren't logically insane.
Lucas Arts' only lightsaber game that is coming out is this Lego Game. Which is more educated than any rebuttal saying that the Wii lightsaber game ISN'T a lego game.

I concur. I wouldn't mind getting it if it were marked down to 30 bucks like RE4. Nevertheless, if this Lego Stars Wars for the Wii is indeed true, I can't help but be somewhat concerned. Let's face it, a lot of the stuff coming out for the Wii has been really kiddy thus far. With talk of a Lego Star Wars on the way rather than an adult Star Wars game, I'm worried that this is a sign that Wii game developers are focusing on the younger crowd too much. This would be quite the tragedy. I mean the Wii has a heck of a lot of potential. Just look at RE4: an adult game executed perfectly thanks to the Wii's technology. I think it's alright if they have a Lego Star Wars on the Wii, I just hope they don't forget about the older Wii players out there.
Fret not, do not worry. We've known lego star was coming, CVG has just sensationalised a headline. From the Gamasutra interview with Lucasarts VP via Newsweek we know that the concept has been put into place and Lego star wars is but one iteration of the theory put into practice.
Retailers have had star wars force unleashed listed for Wii for quite some time now and it's likely that is the wii lightsabre game or even a wholly original effort.

I thought it was decent the first time I played it, but all these new installments of it and how "popular" it is, is rather stupid to me.
im tired of everybody putting the wind waker down ive played all the zeldas and i believe that was one of the better ones some people took one look at the art style and said no way im playing that and those people missed out on a good game.
Why are there so many Winers on here?
it WILL be full price, and anybody who is any level of star wars fan MUST buy as many copies of this as they can (I plan on buy 6 copies, and giving 5 of them to local Youth Centers, Tax Write-off FTW), to show LA and the wii can support's it's own Star Wars Games, not ports of last gen games.
BTW, LA does not make the LEGO SW, they just sign off on them so TT can use the licence.

Err, anyone with a decent amount of logic would realise this isn't true. Eidos Interactive, Traveller's Tales are the pub/devs of the Lego Star Wars franchise, and last that I checked they havn't sold those rights. Lucas Arts directs the "real" Star Wars games, not the "fake(lego)" ones. So no need to worry die-hard Star Wars fans, we'll still have our good lightsabre fun without the pixelated legos being decimated.felixzelphynThats what I was thinking... Besides the article is just speculation.

I concur. I love Star Wars but I don't buy all the games. And man oh man....there's been some pretty terrible ones. I would never buy more than one copy of a game ever. I mean and using games as a tax write-off? No thanks I'd rather help people directly than throw them star wars games.
