my Wii makes a clicking/whirring noise only when loading levels and such. Is this normal? Also, i noticed my mario kart had circular scratched. I dont know if its from my wii though...
I hear similar things. I'm pretty sure it is normal. As for my discs, most of them have that circular scratch where the logo of the game doesn't overlap (not sure what that middle part of it is called exactly), but im pretty sure thats normal too. Anybody else hear and see similar things? I never really gave it much thought until now.

My wii some times does that but I think it is normal.
yeah, my wii does that too. at first i was like "wtf?" but then i remembered that my ps2, gamecube, and even my ipod do that, so i figured it was normal. Its good to hear that other people's wii's do that too tho.
same thing here. on another note, how about the noise those 360's make? its like a freaking jet taking off when you boot the dang thing.(not sure how noisy ps3's are.)
Got that with the new Sonic Unleashed game like a loud whiney noise...eject the disc & reload it the loud whiney noise is gone. Just the normal load noise :)
i get that as well, especially during cutscenes and load times from castlevania judgment, it was almost louder than the game. I was thinking about sending it in to get it fixed since my friend had the same problem and when they fixed his it makes almost no noise whatsoever when playing any game.
Is it like this? If so, you're Wii is in need of a repair. Mine did this, and I got it fixed by calling Nintendo. Now my brother's Wii, which was bought about 8 months after mine was bought, is beginning to make the same noise. Which makes me believe this is something common with most Wiis. Maybe after a while, some component gets loose and starts either making noises or in your case, scratching discs.
