So since I work for circuit city I can order monster cables for 60% off. I'm goint to order the wii ones soon but i cannot tell from any of the pictures if there is an optical or coax digital output to hook into my stereo. I know for other systems such as PS2 this was included feature. Anyone with experience in the cable know the answer to this.

No, Wii does not have any optical out. The audio comes from the red and white Audio cables from the component cables. Hope that answers your question.

The guy above is right, only the red and white cables for sound.

At least we get Dolby Pro Logic II with the Wii! It actually simulates surround pretty well on a 5.1 or better system.

The Wii component cable has five RCA connectors, RGB (video)and RW (audio).
