I know some games require M+ and I'm assuming yes but before I go out and buy any first, does M+ work on all of the wii games and more to the point will make mario power tennis also noticably better?
Very few games actually support it so far, Tiger Woods, NHL2k10 and Wii Sports Resort are all I know for sure. That said it does make a world of difference in those games. It's honestly a good device that is worth owning especially once the games catch up to and implement it.
It's something that should've been on the Wii from day one.Aero5555This I can agree with. I think we'd have much better games if it had been there since developers would know to program for it (unlike now where the userbase is split). Even if it increased the price of the system to $270 or $280, it would've been better off.
I heard there was supposed to be some Zelda type game for the M+ and also a rumor about a feature on No More Heroes 2. Any truth to these rumors?skatimmy737Well it will be in Zelda for the Wii, but the No More Heroes 2 part isn't true.
It's definitely underrated. It's one of the best things that has happened to this generation, and many people don't know what it even does.
Edit:

Zelda 2011 has been confirmed to use the Wii Motion Plus. I don't know if they said if it will be mandatory. I think No More Heroes 2 can use it, but you do not have to.
And Red Steel 2, I know it definitely supports the Wii Motion Plus, and I think you NEED it to play the game. It will probably be bundled with it.
then again we said the same thing about the wii when it was first released...Its severally under used. But it should be getting used more in the next years

I agree. Other than the sword fighting, I find Wii Sports Resort/MotionPlus really underwhelming.
I was expecting a vast improvement with Table Tennis using the MotionPlus, but honestly I find the differences to the original Wii Tennis hardly noticeable. No matter how I angle or twist the wiimote, how I swing early or late, most of my returns will still end up in the middle of the table...just like Wii Tennis.
Plus, a lot of the mini games (Basketball, Canoeing, Cycling, etc) don't really need the MotionPlus for it to work.
So disappointed. I felt so jipped even though I got it as a Christmas gift.

There's either something wrong with your Motion Plus or you haven't grasped the controls yet. Table Tennis in WSR is one of the best showcases of the Motion Plus technology in the entire package. It works like a charm. I can give the ball all kinds of effects, both in a horizontal (right and left spin) and vertical sense (letting the ball travel a longer or shorter distance).
The only downside is that it still relies on the sensor bar to detect your 'neutral' position, but as long as you don't have a Christmas Tree standing next to your gaming stuff it shouldn't be that big of a problem.
I just use this thread to ask two questions I have: First off, are there games coming where you need Wii Motion Plus? And is there a silicone case included in the Wii MotionPlus package?uRan_Ehr1.) yes. Red steel 2, New zelda, Most likely High voltage softwares "the grinder" and "gladiator AD", and most likely all of the sport games coming out next year. 2.) yes
There is one problem on the MotionPlus that I think will kill it's popularity. Everyone who owns one will probably know that the MotionPlus is unstable, even the intro movie about how to use it says so. I think this is a really big let-down. Imagine if you were in the middle of the new Zelda game and your MotionPlus controls started malfunctioning, what then? Pause the game and stabilize the controlls? I guess... If I get to do it that often than I guess it's ok. But imagine if every 15 minutes or so you had to pause the game just to stabilize the controlls.
There are more games besides Wii Sports Report that feature the MotionPlus already:
Grand Slam Tennis
Virtua Tennis 2009
Tiger Woods 10
NHL 2K10
Apparantly Avatar the Game does as well - check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_MotionPlus for the rest.
Golf and Tennis are the most natural. I just picked up a Wii with the Sports Resort, New Super Mario, Mario Galaxy, and Metriod Prime collection. Grand Slam and Tiger are going to be "must purchases", assuming they work just as well as "Sports Resort" but with the depth of a single sport game (career mode, online play, etc). I really didn't care that Wii has lacked third party support, these games alone are more than worth it IMO. I have a PS3 but Wii was a great purchase this holiday for these family games. Motion+ was a big plus from what I can tell.

If you can't control where the ball goes in table tennis with the wii plus then honestly it's just plan that you aren't good at the game. From personal experiance I can honestly say I can pretty much place the ball anywhere on the table I want including a wicked just over the net looping corner shot with enough spin to put it going off the side of the table by at least 60 to 70 degree angle... I'm not sure how much more placement you'd want than that.
Bowling is another place it excels considering you can put enough spin on the ball that if you bowl right down the right gutter side you almost bowl a gutter on the left.
Sorry I should have also mentioned that in the basketball game it also is very needed. Consider that when you pull back and tilt away you toon will back up where as pointing forward and down will make them go forward. Without the wii motion plus you couldn't do that at all which means you'd have 0 control of your court placement.
You can only use Wii Motion Plus with games made for it.I know some games require M+ and I'm assuming yes but before I go out and buy any first, does M+ work on all of the wii games and more to the point will make mario power tennis also noticably better?

Dang! That's some serious skill you've got there man. Table Tennis works really well with the WIi Motion Plus. Controlling the ball is very very realistic.I haven't had to re-sync my Wii Motion Plus since I've opened it. It works perfect for me.There is one problem on the MotionPlus that I think will kill it's popularity.
