Wii Needs a GOOD First-Person Shooter

Is there any news of a GOOD FPS in the works for the Wii?

Goldeneye/PD level quality?

Red Steel had a good premise and idea but the gameplay/fun factor fell through big time.

The Wii NEEDS a good FPS and has all of the capabilties--especially with the new controls, to pull of an excellent FPS style game...

Come on Nintendo!  or interested 3rd parties!

Goldeneye was GREAT back in the day...but it's been near ten years. I would never buy a game in 2007 with graphics and controls that poor...

I mean in terms of controls, if you watch videos of MP3 you'll notice it's more of a shooter now but yeah, it is more adventure but you get my point.

Honestly what's the dif? Metroid Prime still let's you shoot things throughout the game in 1st person, is that not what a FPS is in essence?

Anywho, I'm skepticle about the Wii and here's why: Everybody here knows that the Wii is about 1.5 times powerful as the original Xbox. That being a fact, how come we haven't seen games that look as good as Doom 3? Prey is a great FPS game that I'm pretty sure the Wii could handle.

Nintendo is giving their official seal of quality to anybody just like it's candy. I remember  back when the seal actually meant something. I mean, come on, Farcry Wii was a pathetic joke. I'm not a graphics whore by any means but visuals and environment are a huge factor in the genre. I hate to see devs selling the Wii short. It's a great peice of hardware, why don't the devs take advantage of it? 

You're gonna want to wait for Metroid Prime 3, which I don't really want to call a straight up First Person Shooter, but its close enough.schwagnah

The Wii's controls are perfect for FPS games though. It's a shame that devs aren't making quality FPS games for it. Call of Duty 3's controls were near perfect for FPS games, too bad CoD3 sucked. 

i personally hope Free Radical is cooking something up right now for Wii.

TS on Wii would be so damn glorious. Especially with online.... Damn it, now I'm angry. 

Only thing i see down the line for FPS's is Metroid Prime 3 and thats it at the moment. clifftrapremove

Hopefully we'll see more. GC had some pretty good FPS games. Hopefully N will make a Giest sequel or something, that would be cool too.

I want to see Nintendo's take on a FPS. Nintendo have never made a game of this genre. god i hope they make oneCrystal-Rush

Isn't N making a new FPS franchise? Wasn't that announced last year at E3?

Ehm, he doesn't mean he wants a game with same graphics and controlls as golden eye he wants a game that is as good as golden eye was when it was released. Seriously how could you not understand what he was saying?
