Wii needs a good mature RPG

Don't get me wrong. I loved Zelda Twilight Princess but the wii needs a RPG geared towards the more mature gamers too.

I understand that they are trying to appeal to EVERYBODY but I haven't really seen a more mature RPG coming out for wii that really interests me. It obviously doesn't HAVE to have the Oblivion graphics as it is the gameplay that really counts in RPGs (although Obvlivon is a great total package) but just a more mature set of controls (like stabbing, swinging (and the sword or whatever actually go in the direction YOU are swinging in, and all out fist fights which would use controls similar to a boxing game or something) and a more mature story line.

So I guess my questions is where are the more mature RPGs at, Nintendo? Sure I can get some good ones on 360 but I want some motion sensing goodness too!

I guess it depends how they do it.

Considering how well the Wii is selling in Japan I just have to think we're going to see some significant RPG releases in the future.

Yeah they were great games with horrible voice acting.

nintendo does have rpgs coming to it

If you dont, youll regret it your whole life. Definitely play BK:Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean first and then BK: Origins since BKO has a faster paced combat system and playing them in reverse might make getting into BKEWLO harder. As well turn the sound for BKEWLO on surround even if you dont have it cause the voices will sound echoey otherwise.

Both are great games, really great artwork and story. BKEWLO really set the scene and then BKO refined it so much. The music in the games are also some of the best there is. One can only hope the series continues on the Wii, if Monolith(and tri-crecendo) were able to make two awesome card battles I think they could also create some great Wii-mote uses as well.

I'm hoping for a real original idea. Not a recycled game idea from some other console (Fire Emblem 2, Baten Kaitos 3,..) but an entirely new game built around the wii with full advantage of the remote (for once, please!!!). What I want most is a realistic sword handling game, where the sword moves perfectly with your arm movements and everything. That would be sweet.camreeno360

My thoughts exactly. And also no kiddy graphics. They don't have to be gritty like Oblivion but I don't really care for the "Japense" look. And before anyone responds to this post...I'm well aware that Nintendo IS Japanese. I'd like it to look as realistic as possible on the Wii...not that stylized stuff like in Zelda or Pokemon. Something that looks at least half way belivable. Of course the gameplay and the storyline will defiantly come first. I want it to have a realistic feel to it like you are actually holding a sword (or a lightsaber...Star Wars RPG for the Wii anyone?) and have a good solid story.

If they were to do a "mature" RPG it needs to be a good solid game with lots of content. I don't want a rushed game.I don't care if it takes them 5 years as long as its good.

They need to buy Fresh Studios and Prokion Studios so they can make a new Legend Of Legaia. They also should get a new Legend of Dragoon, Secret of Mana, Golden Sun, a new Phantasy Star Online, Panzer Dragoon (I know it's not a full RPG but still), Star Ocean, Xenosaga, Xenogears (Since square enix is working with them now),Skies of Arcadia, "Tales of" series,Koudelka, and alot ofother RPG's I can't think of right now.

As for other games theyshould get made,Hybrid Heaven, Drakengard, Megaman, A new Perfect Dark (I just can't get enough ofthe 64 version), Star Fox, Killer Instinct, a new Super Metroid, Virtual-On-Line (Online), Kya: Dark Lineage, Cabela's Big Game Hunter (Online, this game is sweet if you have other people around you), The Bouncer, Frame Gride, Zone of the Enders, Power Stone, Gauntlet, Golden Axe, Altered Beast, and others I can't think of right now.
