Yes. You should pick a console that will supply the games you want, or else you should just buy more than one console. That's what the majority of us do.
And besides, this has already been discussed about six-thousand times (slight exaggeration).
Im not spending $700 on a 360 and miscellaneous start up costs included. Why can't nintendo just make a new series, with hype and everything, something not done before, just brand new concept all together, new story, new characters, new everything, no links to the past(punn).
"I could make Halo. It's not that I couldn't design that game. It's just that I choose not to. One thing about my game design is that I never try to look for what people want and then try to make that game design. I always try to create new experiences that are fun to play." ~ Shigeru Miyamoto
Found it on IGN...
does no one understand the concept of money?

Please don't take this the wrong way but don't you understand that no one cares if you can't own more then one console?
I'm not thrilled in the least that you don't have the funds to get all the consoles you want but that's just how it works. This is gaming in 2007, either adapt or stop. Those are the only choices you have.
You could get Metroid Prim 3...it's does everything Halo does cept multi-player.forgot_it
Other than the FPS view Halo and Metroid have nothing in common in my opinion.
The MP3game is more about platforming and adventure elements and fighting the next boss. Halo's jus about going to point A to point B and shoot lots and lots of stuff on the way.

Do you not understand that Nintendo has a limited amount of this so-called money and resources that they have to create and fund games at their disclosure? Microsoft and Bungie put millions of dollars and all of their available resources into this one game called Halo. Why is the Xbox 360 such a failure in Japan? Let me answer that by answering another question. What games have Microsoft or its second-party divisions put resources into that were aimed at the casual player? Let me list them: Viva Piñata... that's it.
So do realize that games like this just don't come as a necessity to the system. At this point, a third-party developer is going to have to create what you call a "Halo" for the Wii because Nintendo does not have the manpower or resources to do so.
No. Nintendo should make their own Sci-fi FPS specifically for the Wii that features online multiplayer. As good as Metroid Prime 3 is, it lacks multiplayer.Gboy2003
It lacks multiplayer because it's not a game that's meant to be played by multiple people. Again, Nintendo doesn't have the resources to branch out into a different genre of gaming that they aren't accustomed to, (aside from Geist), and this "Sci-fi FPS" that you speak of will have to come from a third-party developer.
I dont care what u guys think but im a wii owner and i want a halo caliber game on the wii, and don't go ranting on "get a 360 then" cause imo one console per gen is more than enough, u shouldn't have to choose a console based on games, a console should have games that appeal to everyone. sherbert-lime

Get a 360, buddy.
i was just thinkin about this the other day. i was very deppressed because i only have a wii and there was halo 3 wich i wanted. all my friends have 360s and im the only one with a wii. i was sad for a while. then it struck me. who gives a care about halo 3. gta, call of duty, gears of war. sure there great games, but wii has character. mario, zelda, metroid and way more. Wii's halo is Brawl by the way. sure halo will give wii a run for its money. but the question is, will brawl. in my opinion it will apeal to harcore gamers. mainly the once who have played the original smash bros.
This is it. Halo. Brawl. Lets see who wins this fight.
PS: this the last halo. yeah it has xbox live and yes, it will play on for a long time. but people will get over the game. and where will they go then?
The wii is terrible u r never gonna get somethin like mgs4 or halo 3 on it go pick up a ps3 or 360 if u want better gamesxxDarkRulerxx
screw that. if i have no other thing to go to then ill play brawl all day. by the way what the hell does ps3 have to give us beside metal gear. wich will probally come out on other systems
You could get Metroid Prim 3...it's does everything Halo does cept multi-player.forgot_itexept sticky grenades... which is really what everyone wants when they say they want halo for wii
I completley agree with Sherbert-Lime honestly. A Halo-calibur game on the Wii would actually be really awesome.T_Largo
I originally misinterpreted the topic. There's three Halo-caliber games this year for the Wii and one of them has already come out.

I think you meant to say, "Wii needs a Killer App" right?

That's off-topic by definition. If you want to talk about the need for a high-caliber FPS, that's fine, but please do not make comparisons other consoles and/or their games, especially a flagship like Halo. Thanks.
