When I first bought my wii and played zelda it was nice and quiet and the disk slot thing worked really smooth. But now when I play mario galaxy you can hear the system loading like crazy. Also when the disk slides in, it sounds like the mechanism gives up but I know it still works perfectly. These noises don't affect the performance of the system but they are annoying.

hmm.. well i can't say i've noticed "ultra chugging sounds", but the disc feeding motor does sound like its my dying car once in a while. But if it doens't hurt naything.. i guess its ok.. just make your speakers louder ;)

Kinda same with mine, but that time a tiny cord went with the disc and when I ejected the disc and took it off it worked fine, besides that when my brother puts a game case in it its the same :/ just watch what the Wii has close to it and what you insert with the disc

So do I (used to) Just take them out when you're not using it. The system runs better then.

I've noticed when the disc is in mine, it sounds like the motor is struggling, yet it works perfectly. Sounds like a dying giraffe!

my 11 month old wii didnt make any noise to start with but by the 2 weeks after i got it it started to get louder and louder. now it sounds like a jet taking off. but i havent noticed anthing else weird, the disks still work and no freezes but its still loud.
