Mine did that before but it started working again after I unplugged the cables and waited about 10 minutes. I then plugged the cables back in and it started to work. Not sure if this is much help.......good luck:)

Either you smoked the AC adapter, or you smoked the Wii. Borrow someone else's power cord and see if that makes a difference, then you'll have a better idea where the problem is.

This day and age a Power Supply or Power Board shouldn't let his Wii get smoked. Its most likely your Power Supply. Since every child and his mother has a Wii, borrow a friends or family members Power Supply :)

1. Have you checked if it is plugged in at the system and in the powerpoint.

2. Where you playing through a thunderstorm?

3. You didn't play for a long duartion of time smoking the CPU?

4. No Dust was caught in the cooling system?

5. Had a recent Update and corrupted the system?

6. Try Holding the Power Button for 4 seconds or more?

If these dont solve your problem get a new Wii with the Warrranty.
