Is there any way to connect your Wii to the same screen you use for the PC? What kind of output does the Wii have? I have heard there is some solution but I'm not sure.

VGA cable? My TV has PC input so I use it as both.

EDIT: I just realised that there doesn't seem to be a VGA cable for the Wii yet...hmm, in that case, I don't know...which is bizarre considering that Ninty explicitly said about the Wii's capability to connect to both TVs and PC monitors. :?

Depends on what inputs your pc monitor has, vga, component or hdmi. I don't think the Wii has a hdmi connector, I'm not sure about vga.

After snooping around for a while, I can tell you that until a proper VGA cable is released, the solution will be expensive.

If you have the Wii component cable, you'd need to bag yourself one of these or these babies along with a VGA to VGA cable in order to convert the component signal from your Wii to the VGA input in your monitor.

VD-W2 goes for $40 on-line, cheapest one I know of yet.

You could buy a TV Tuner card for your PC and plug the Wii into that, but I'm not sure that you'd get as good of a display as hooking it up directly to the monior.

The problems with TV Tuner Cards are....

1.- Lower quality then hooking up directly.

2.- There is always a risk of latency, some games are unplayable when some significant delay is present.

3.- If the user does not know how to install PCI cards, it's another problem on its own.

4.- The fact that that particular card you linked is still more expensive then the VD-W2 I had suggested earlier.

5.- The computer has to be on whenever he wants to play (not everyone has theyir computer on 24/7)
