Figured I would do this because there are soo many threads of people asking about it. If anyone has any Information to add, or sees any information that is wrong, let me know and I will update it. Maybe this can be stickied?

Q: Do you have to pay anything for online gameplay?
A: No. Online gameplay is completely free.

Q: What do I need in order to be able to play online?
A: The only thing you will need to be able to play online is an active internet connection in your household, and one of two items. You either need:
1. A Nintendo Wi-Fi adaptor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Wi-Fi_USB_Connector)
or
2. A Wireless Modem/Router (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_modem)

Q: Will the Wii's online gameplay require friendcodes?
A: Yes. Nintendo has confirmed that in order to play against someone online, you must have the person you are playing against in your address book, and they must have you in theirs. Their reason for this is because they want it to be safe for all ages and help avoid child predators.

Q: Will (random game) have online gameplay/multiplayer?
A: The easiest answer to this question is, is the release date of (random game) after Pokemon: Battle Revolution? Reggie from Nintendo has confirmed that Pokemon: Battle Revolution will be the first game released with online compatibility. If your game in question has a release date set before Pokemon Revolution, then it definently will not have online compatibility. If the release date is set to after Pokemon, then there is a possibility, but it probably hasn't been confirmed yet. I will update this thread with any games confirmed to have online compatibility.

Q: What games are confirmed to have online compatibility?
A: The games that have been confirmed so far to have online compatibility are:
Pokemon: Battle Revolution
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Strikers: Charged
Battalion Wars 2

Well, it is early I agree, but sooo many people ask these same questions over and over again, that it needs to be cleared up.

Also, to the person who said Batallion wars II. Is that one positively confirmed? Or just rumored?

Good idea yup, but a little too early to get stickied since there isn't enough facts to go in the faq.

YOu should add more like Q: On the Mii Channel, when I create a Mii, it asks me to set Mingle on or off. What is Mingle? A: Mingle is the option for a specific Mii to travel to all of your friends' Wiis Mii parades. You can only use this option if your Wii is connected to the Internet. Q:What is a Mii Parade? A: The Mii Parade is the place where you can see all of your friends' Miis with mingle on. Q: My Wii refuses to connect to the internet. I have already selected my wireless router. A: Switching the router channel to 1 or 11 usually fixes the problem. Q: Can the Wii send messages to an email address or cell phone? A: Yes it can. All you need to do is add the email address or cell phone number to your wii address book

Aren't companies free to charge whatever they want for online play? Like, for example, if an MMO is ever released, the devs can charge gamers $15 a month to play right?

What he said. The friend codes only stuff is nonsense, most likely.
