I don't know if both sites (VGChartz and Nextgenwars) are credible. I know that it's fairly possible that Nintendo will sell at least 10 milion Wii by the end of the year.
Imagine Wii might have sold half of the GameCube did in 1 year.

What that site does is run a program that guesses how many of each console is sold based on previous sales charts. If anything that's the worst site when it comes to getting actual numbers.
According to WIKIPEDIA the Wii has sold around 8m and the 360 has sold around 11m. (PS3 3.3m with 5m shipped) Still this is a rather good effort from the Wii lets hope Nintendo can keep on delivering the games!

even so big deal the only reason its catching so quick is because they can produce them so much faster then the 360 because it has so many less features. im sure if the 360 was able to mass produce like the wii then it definitely would have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more sales then the wii.

Wow, worst post of the thread. Actually it has absolutely nothing to do with 360 production. You can pick up a 360 in literally any store you walk into. Not to mention, this past winter they stuffed the market, to make themselves look better. AlsoMicrosoft goes by number shipped like Sony, not number sold, like Nintendo.

Or maybe it has to do with the fact that it is 250 dollars. :|.
