Well... I've been played my Wii a lot these days.

I play like 4 to 6 hours and take a break of 1 hour or less.

And i was reading some forum topics and i found out that a Wii Overheating is very common. It is?

My Wii didn't showed up any problem, everything's ok. But i'm worried about it.

So.. How much time should i play before taking a break. And a break of how much time?

I may be exageratting, but i just don't want any problems with my precious Wii.

So anyone has the answers?

Thanks and Cya!

11 hours on the first day i got it, and nope it did not overheat or freeze once. Sometimes i play it 6 hours in a day but still no freezing. If it comes and it works then you will get your money's worth out of it as its built superbly and does not overheat like the 360.

i've had my wii since the first day it came out, and i haven't had any prombles like that. i don't think its a problem of overheating, so much as its a problem with the hardware, sometimes systems are defective, and it just takes something to activate it. I think you will be fine, as long as you keep it well ventlated.

I've accidently left on my Wii for a whole day or more a few times, and no problems at all

If you're worried about overheating, just make sure the ventilation fan isn't stuck

Wii getting warm? of course. Wii overheating? rare.
My friend left his Wii on for a whole week and it still plays.

The trick is to take action before or if it happends.

When ever I've finished playing I unplug all the wires from the back and leave the Wii standing on it's own.

Hi, i play my wii far longer than the time you have said, and don't get any overheating problems...the only problem I have encountered is a noisy disk drive, but this only seems to happen on brand new purchased games, after a couple of plays it seems to 'bed in' and the problem goes away..weird!!

No overheating is rare unless you live in the Tropics or you keep your Wii in direct sunlight while you're playing. I can play Wii as long as I want without any problems. So long as you don't store your Wii in a closed box or a cuboard you should be fine.

I dont stand mine up or put it sideways how it is made to because if it is stood up there is a vent on the bottom of it, why put a vent on the bott om of something? And the part that gets warm is on the side that would be down if layed sideways like it's meant to be sideways so I flip it over. Then It doesnt really get warm like it used to.

I hope that made sense.

scottie i agree with you totally all the video game systems this gen are designed fan wise wtf the 360 the ps3 and the wii all have there vents blocked if they are put up vertically you have a 99% chance of the wii not overheating on its side then vertical.
