I want to see if there is a trend or sense of favoritism towards nintendo or any company for that matter, and if you do have a DS did you purchase before or after you bought your Wii, and did your Wii impact your thoughts to buy or pass on the DS.

Yes, I have a DS that I bought before my Wii. I bought the DS for my wife but I find myself using it more then her because of the great games it has ( phantom hourglass, professor layton, children of mana, mario, dusk hotel room, ace attourney, .....). I don't think i do favouritism( I also have a PS3) towards Nintendo, I bought the Wii cause the system interested me and yes I like a lot of Nintendo games, so I found the Wii would be a perfect match to hold company to my PS3.
Yes. Nintendo games and proper Pokemon RPGs can't go wrong with me.
Most importantly, I've had every handheld since the Gameboy days, and the DS is the first to make me feel like I'm actually playing a system that was built to be portable.
I'd like to see Nintendo maxamize the potential of Wii and DS connectivity though.
I do have a DS... now the reason why, I do not think is bc I like nintendo over other company or bc I own a Wii...
1. I needed a handheld
2. psp vs ds?? DS bc i`m a fan of CV and well... I needed to play DoS and PoR (an dnow the new one on the way) and ofcourse is nice to have also all the CV for GBA :P
i was a sega fan ,then a playstation one.i only bought the wii because it was alot cheaper than ps3 and for zelda,i always heard amazing things about zeldas and this gen i just didnt want to miss it.
thank god i took the wii,i am very satisfied, but that wont happen with the ds,its simple its almost the end of the portables gen and new ones will probably come in 1-3 years ,so why bother.also the only game i wanna play is crisis core and its on psp,i was never a handheld fan although my first console was the first gameboy(with kirby,i am a big fan of kirby)
I got a DS phat near launch as an Xmas gift from gf at the time. Got a Wii just a few months ago. Then added a DS Lite (Cobalt) about a month ago.... (yes I have 2 DS's now... its awesome if you are an Animal Crossing addict)...
I'm a big time Nintendo fan but also own a Xbox and getting a PS3 when RE5 comes out.
I had a ds and then a ds lite but then I sold my ds lite cuz i realli needed money
then a while after, i bought a wii.
Ive had every portable system except for the psp.
So im a nintendo fan.
I got my DS (Gold Zelda Version) after I got a wii. I mainly got it because of how fun the wii was and thought if playing games differently can be this is fun and innovative, then maybe the DS is the same way too. So I got one and I was right. I think it's an amazing little machine.
The main reason I got my DS was for Custom Robo Arena. I loved the Gamecube version and as soon as I told one of my friends about Arena, we both got a DS and the game and enjoyed playing online. Of course, I've gotten other worthy games for my DS, but the Wii did not encourage my DS purchase.
I got my DS the year lites came out.The PSP just didn't have any games for it that made me want to get one plus I'm not a fan of short battery life. I don't favor Ninendo but lets face it, they dominate the hand held market. As for a Wii I got mine the day Brawl was released and haven't stopped playing my console yet.
I do own a DS. I got my DS the day the DS Lite came out. I had been wanting one for awhile before that but figured I'd wait for the Lite. I've been buying Nintendo since the original NES, and I'll continue to do so as they always release systems that I have a lot of fun with.
I tend to play the Wii more than the DS. But it really just depends on which system I recently bought a game for.
