Recently a took a look at the bottom of some of my games and i'd found a minor very hard to find non noticeable semi circular scratch insome of my games. Please answer me the following questions:

1. Can this very minor hard to find non noticeable scratch damage my games? What kind of scratch can damage a game?

2. Can this be a problem with the disc drive even if it isn't making any weird sound and my Mario Kart Wii game doesn't have it that has been played more than some of these games?

3. Can rotating games inside the cases cause this?

4. I i look a the bottom of some of my games under light and reflection i can see some little lines at the the exact center near the edge were games click into place in their cases. Is this normal after taking out an putting back into the cases?

1. Most scratches make no impact on the game (generally just the deep ones and/or lots and lots of scratches) 2. It may be a problem with the disc drive as my games don't show this or any other disc of any other sort that I own - but I can't be certain 3. Rotating games inside the case couldn't cause it - nothing is that sharp in the case and nothing is there to scratch discs either 4. I believe this is normal as some of my games also show this as well as other discs of any other sort that I own- but I can't be certain Hope this helps Aventura54

1. Sorry, I really wish I could help you, but I don't know much about scratches. If it's small and doesn't have much depth to it, then I doubt it. :)

2. It might be, again, I'm not positive. Try calling or emailing Nintendo.

3. No, the cases are made so that that won't ever happen.

4. If you don't put the games in their cases properly, it's possible that could happen.

i dont think minor scratches or light circles should do much. for example, pc's drive was screwed up and put like a bunch of weird plastic on my disk. But, i ran it on my laptop fine. The only problems i've ever had with disk reading was either on pc, but im guessing it was the dvd drive itself, my gamecube, which i replaced, and my 360, which was my fault for moving/ turning it while game was still inside, causing it to scratch my disk. But that was a pretty noticeable scratch. small scratches shouldnt really make a big difference.

EDIT: also, your last point about a scratch being where you take the disk out and put it back in makes sense. after all, you are probably not 100 percent perfect with your hands and you have to slide it into position before clicking it into place. im sure disk manufacturers know about this, so im guessing the disk's info is actually in the middle part thats about an inch or two away from the center

That could definitely happen. There could be grit on that felt that surrounds the disc slot, and it could get on the disc when you insert it.
