How does the Wii SD card work? Does it just store games and if you want to play them do you have to copy thm back to your wii or can you play them just by inserting the card? I'm a huge VC fan so I want to maximize the amount of games I can have. From what I can tell they by reading the descriptions they are just for storage and you have to copy the games back.

If you don't have an SD card and you want to download a bunch of VC games, what is the minimum # of blocks you should leave (for game saves) on your system?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have to copy them back, yes.

It's hard to say, since it depends on how many blocks each game might require and how many games you have.

Oh, and there's no such thing as a "Wii SD card". Secure Digital is a standardized format that'll work in thousands of different devices.

Thanks! Well the one I ordered is a "Wii SD Card". I realize an SD Card is an SD Card, just thought if I was going to get a new one I'd get that one.

billedbuck it seems you created an account just to ask that question lol. Back on topic: there are many different sizes of SD card. the more megabytes the more memory meaning the more games it can hold. However you cannot upload the games from the SD card just copy them back to your wii and upload them from your Wii. It's a hassle!

Thanks for the info guys. Sounds like a pain but I guess it's better than nothing.

PS - My account's been up for awhile, I'm more of a "lurker", though.
