Wii should ONLY be for children

OK, not really. But that's what some people think, according to this article:

MediawatchUK has condemned the upcoming Wii game from Sega MadWorld, saying that it will "spoil" the console. Apparently John Beyer, director of MediawatchUK, thinks that his lobbying organization should be able to determine which types of games go to which console.

"This game sounds very unsavoury. I hope the British Board of Film Classification will view this with concern and decide it should not be granted a classification.

"It seems a shame that the game's manufacturer have decided to exclusively release this game on the Wii. I believe it will spoil the family fun image of the Wii."

He's also a crusading Christian who wants to make prime time television all about Jesus. I thought people blaming GTA IV for violent crimes were stupid, but this guy is on a whole different level.

I've already sent Mediawatch a letter. Hopefully some of you will do the same.

You can watch both porn and children's cartoons on TV, but I don't exactly see people saying that that fact spoils television.

Honestly, sometimes I get the sense that these people have been tied up with ropes by their children for how powerless they tend to sound. :P

i don't think a single game will ruin a console and it's not like grandmothers are going to hear about this game unless they read game magazines and look at game websites. If parents are worried they don't have to let their kids get it. (my parents probably won't let me get it since I had to beg them to get the mgs games).

This is why Im glad my dad introduced me to violence when I was 4...all those hours of watching kick ass martial arts movies and gory old school horror movies....now blood and guts doesnt fase me.

And not all parents are ignorant about violent games. Has your dad tried telling you how to play Grand Theft Auto:San Andreas??
