Now that the noise problem is solved (I feel much better thanks :)) now I want to know about the slowdown

There are lot of slowdowns as if the game has low frame rate. Well VC doesnt matter but I've seensome in MP3 and Mario Strikers C. In Mp3, I found them whenthereare many explosions, whenI get pushed back by the wind in Valhalla, and in thevideobefore I fight against Rundus. In MSC, I found slowdownsin the videoafter a player scores a goal (ex:boo flies around the field). This happens a lot inthe map vice.

Well these problemsreally worries me...

Does it make a flickflickflick sound like a fax machine ? That's what my Wii sounds like when playing Metroid Prime games (probably because in MP much areas got to be loaded) Try playing an old GameCube game on it. If it makes a noise then you should send it over to Nintendo

My Wii makes that freaky sound on occassion, it scared me as well. I recently rented Mario Galaxy, it played fine for a few days, then I heard that horrible sound and the game would not work at all, the sytem just made that sound when I attempted to play. I called Nintendo and they said it was probably just the disc. So I then bought Mario Galaxy b/c it was that cool and the new disc works fine in my system. Weird huh?

that noise is just the laser moving a little too fast in your wii. Its normal. My Gamecube, Wii, Xbox 360 and other disc based devices do this all the time, and they still all work fine.

And if you want to have a loud system, buy a xbox 360...Like its gonna explode or something!
