So at the conference they said WiiSpeak will have a friend code and that even when you arent on the game you can still chat on the wii. Does that mean when you start a game the call ends? And does that mean that if you pick a random room on like Conduit it will only work with friends?

I'm pretty sure that's the point. To chat with friends. Don't expect nintendo to ever let you chat with strangers. There's like a negative bazillion percent chance they will let you chat with strangers.

And, I'm okay with that. What they need is a friend chat system. What they need is a system where you can connect a line with yourself and three friends/rooms while each player simply has the wii on. It shouldn't matter what you're doing on the wii. I want a system where I might be making a mii, one of my friends could be playing a VC game, and the other two could be fragging each other on the conduit...but were still all on chat with each other.

Chat shouldn't be linked to individual games, the wii system should be running it in the background with whatever you're doing.

I agree with being able to talk to friends well playing different games. That would be awesome.
