What about MadWorld, House of the Dead Overkill, Dead Rising, NMH 2, The Conduit, Tenchu, Sin and Punishment 2, and all the other gameslink027Yeah i think a lot of publishers are really having a go at making some grittier, lower budget M rated games for the Wii this year. It's a really interesting development. That list'll get better too if Cursed Mountain and Fatal Frame get brought over.
anyone else think there aren't enough T-A rated games on the wii? That i know of released and coming soon there basically trauma center, SSBB, WaW, red steel, no more heroes, umbrella chronicles, and onechanbara. Thats not a huge list when u compare it to the mass for ps3, xbox, and PC, heck the DS has more t-A games.anyone else think this is far too few and more importantly one of the driving factors behind the wii's lack of success? if not explain why it hasnt attracted the audiences it should.aura_enchanted
There's a bunch of games you missed:
Metal of honor: vanguard
Metal of honor: heros 2
Farcry vengence
The legend of zelda: twilight princess
Call of duty 3
Metroid prime 3: corruption
007 Quantum of solace
house of the dead: 2 and 3 return
Ghost squad
Resident evil 4: Wii edition
Resident evil umbrella Chronicles
Dragonball z Budikai tenkachi 2
Dragonball z Budikai tenkachi 3
All of the Anime games on the Wii are rated T
Man Hunt 2
Super smash bos. brawl
Rygar: battle of the something
Come on man you have to look at the list of games that came outm on the Wii.
Look at the games coming out:
The cunduit
madworld
house of the dead: overkill
Rise of the dead: chop till you drop
Resident evil 0
Punch-out
sin and punishment 2
etc.....
there's alot of games rated T-A

fine allow me to rephrase my origional post okay, good t-A games or expected to be good t-a games you will notice that the lists u post subside greatly
Let's face it. There aren't that many good M games on Wii. If you want a lot of M games, go get an Xbox 360 or PS3.
M games are usually* all gore and no plot. Which is fun, sometimes.
*Not saying every M game is bad, just a lot.
E-T games are better in my opinion.

dont get me wrong i dont bash games that fall under E for everyone, i just think that many of the returning nintendo console players have outgrown that esrb rating.

Could you also clarify on the Wii's lack of sucess?okay its faliure to attract a dedicated audience of players. its a very casual game console, u look at PC or xbox, or ps3 and u see people who will literally play nothing but, 9/10 wii players will have a primary game console (be it PC or w/e). if u look back into nintendo's history. the n64 was played all the time by enough people to populate china, even with the gamecube it was there. now its just a party games console, basically good for renting now and again, or used when nothing else better is around. and what dedicated people there are basically play SSBB and nothing else.
I honestly don`t look at game ratings when I want a game. I look at the game itself.. Rating means nothing, absolutely nothing.Haziqonfire
okay did u like CoD3, or any MoH games on the wii? thats what i thought... ratings are simply a guide to the general concensus, not a guide to how good or bad it is.
The Wii does have dedicated audience. You are trying too hard to wrap everything so that it fits your view point.
gooflee
no im not if i wanted to hard wrap id probably be like this:
basically other than SSBB no real games on the wii attract people to own the wii and disown other consoles or convince them to sell there souls to it. and even the SSBB isnt really a spectacular multiplayer game. it has its place but fails to have the pull the origional two had on its audiences. sure it did at first but most people who bought it still prefer its prequels. and most of the other games are ment to be played casually and dont really offer much to those wanting to play through them regularly. all the games on the wii are good but lack true replay value when u compare them to either there port copies or foreign console competitors. furthermore most people who do still play it do so casually. its lack of good T-A games causes them to go to other systems to satiate this need.
now THAT would be hard wrapping.

Right so it's doing what Nintendo actually aimed for it to do? There are games that can be played like that and plenty coming out just not the amount that maybe coming out on the Xbox360 fo instance but the Wii is not intended to be exactly like that, I have said this in another topic everything has faults and I am sure if you wanted you could pick faults in any other system available, that's what most people do these days they want everything rather than just enjoying what it actually does.

mm ever noticed that little voice in your head its called common sense desperately telling you stuff before u do/say it. listen to it will you, as stated earlier i dont bash E for everyone games, but in the wii's game library (excluidng virtual console) they outnumber the other ratings put togeather at about a 2:1 ratio, and if your attempting to insult me it was very poor attempt i suggest you think up better material and come back.

I mean the content ratings .. (E,E+10,T,M,AO) etc.ah well all the samethere guidelines meant to only be followed when the person cant decide for themselves (u wouldnt let a 12-year-old play gears of war would you??). so yeah guidelines, but they do define where discretion should begin to be taken for those who can decide. and what kind of gameplay to expect. u would expect an M game to at leats have bllody and violence, and an E game to have soft pallet colors and cartoony images.

I don`t look at the ratings to determine anything. I get a game based on the gameplay and features. and I don't care about a 12 year old kid because I don't have a 12 year old kid.

You are working too hard to wrap everything up so that it fits into your viewpoint.as stated earlier i dont bash E for everyone games, but in the wii's game library (excluidng virtual console) they outnumber the other ratings put togeather at about a 2:1 ratioaura_enchantedI'm not arguing against that at all. Your assumption was that the older you get, the less appealing those E-rated games become, and the more appealing M-rated games become. My point is that that's not necessarily true. For example, many people in this forum have said that MadWorld, one of the most deserving Wii games of the M rating, seems too immature to them because of the excessive swearing and overemphasis on grotesque violence. Going the other way, I probably would've hated a game like Boom Blox when I was 14 (too boring!) but ten years later I love it.
I was simply challenging your view of "outgrowing" things, that's all. No insult was intended. If I wanted to insult you, it would've been much, much funnier. :P

We need some kind of Troll guard on this forum.
TC is swinging at everyone... I believe he took a shot at Jordan there. that's like punching a referee. Not a good idea.
Anyway...
Mature =/= mature.
I think that's where you went wrong when forming your opinion.
You know the one game I won't be getting this year? MadWorld, the most "Mature" game coming out for the Wii. The screenshots are too violent for me; I couldn't imagine the gameplay.
I'm 28. With a career. And a wife. I'd like to think that's "mature". (My lady might say otherwise).
This argument is almost as bad one about the wii not being hardcore. Considering that the wii is marketed as a family console, many developers tend to take a safer route. BUT there are still enough M-MA rated games on the console to keep one who considers ratings to define how good a game is. Not all M-Ma rated games are violent. One very good example is Okami. There is very little gore (none at all), but the script has quite abit of sexual innuendo and references. Also there are many worth while game wit a G rating that are excelent. The best example would be Super Mario Galaxy. Enough said there.
