I was wondering how compatible is the new Wii U? Will it play most or all the Wii games on the new system or will only a few play on the new system? I was wondering mainly was all if compatible or not.

One thing nintendo has always done right is backward compatability. DS and Wii did perfect jobs with playing old games. So far my Wii U experience has been perfect with Wii games too! It sucks that the Wii U or Wii basically shut down and turn in too their respective past systems, but it makes for a better backward compatability.

all vc wiiware wii games are compatible but youll need a wiimote /plus /cc /ccpro and nunchuk

Furthermore, to play them you'll need to do a system transfer, unless you don't already own them in which case you would go to the "Wii Menu" (which emulates the Wii) and go into the shop there. You also need to play your Wii Games, Virtual Console and Wii Ware titles from the WIi menu with the required accessories ^ You cannot use any of your Wii U controllers/accessories with the Wii Menu.
