I'll be watching. Rumor's going around about a Earthbound remake/sequel. I don't care about that. I want to see Metroid, Uniracers, Stunt Race FX and Kirby's Dream Course Sequelsnini200Really hope there is an Earthbound remake/sequel.
What I want:
-Diddy Kong Racing 2 or Star Fox by Retro, possibly as marquee online title for Fall 2013
-Earthbound sequel by Monolith, Probably Spring 2014
-Yoshi Land by Good Feel, Summer 2013
-Miiverse on 3DS soon
-OS takes up less memory with a new update, possibly down to 256MB
-Miiverse applications for PC/Smartphones released
-Super Smash Bros 4 teaser, not coming until Late 2014 or 2015
-Super Mario 3D Wii U trailer for Holiday 2013 release
-GameCube games on Wii U (with off tv support) virtual console. All past VC games now in the Wii U eShop, no need to boot into Wii Mode. All past Wii Shop Channel purchases earn you Deluxe Digital Promotion credits
-Battalion Wars 3 by Headstrong Games
What I really expect:
-Maybe GameCube games with no Off-Tv support
-Yoshi Land
-"We're working hard on Smash Bros 4, Retro's game and Monolith's game but we can't show you today"
-Miiverse application for PC/Smartphone delayed until later this year
-Battalion Wars 3 by Headstrong Games
-Pikmin 3 gets April release date
-Wii Fit U gets May release date
-Wonderful 101 gets June release date
Really hope some of these come true.
The bottom line is this...
Show me a core Nintendo title: 3D Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Starfox, whatever... that illustrates what this console is capable of graphically and how the touchscreen has been integrated.
As of right now I know nothing.
Batallion Wars 3 would rock. I'd be blown away by a new Earthbound release, but I think Itoi recently dismissed the idea.

This is what I would love to hear so I can play my VC games on the gamepad.
Also, I'm not always huge on remakes, but an Earthbound remake would be great because that's one game I never really played.
I would love to get some news on what Retro and Monolith soft are doing.
By the way, anyone know of a website that's live blogging or anything for this?

What do you guys think of the Zelda news? From the sounds of it he was hinting of a more open world experience. Do you think they will go the length of Skyrim or maybe a more open world but not as open as Skyrim like Dragon Age? When he talked of playing alone did he mean there would be some multi player diminsion? Does that mean a lame multiplayer like Mario Galaxy had? Or did he mean maybe Link having other party members during gameplay? Honestly I don't think it'll change as much as it could... but the possibilities are endless. I would love to see some more "open world" type changes. I don't need it to be like Skyrim but expanding the game to make for more freedom like the original Zelda might be cool. I remember when I played the original Zelda as a little kid I beat level 8 way before I beat some of the others. I think it was possible once I had the ladder from level 4...roboccs
I think it'll turn out an exhaggeration just like the Skyward Sword banter ended up being, unfortunately :(

For Skyward Sword, didn't they just talk about how the dungeons were the focus of Zelda games so they wanted to make the areas between the dungeons more like dungeons? That's what I remember, and they totally delivered on that. It just so happens that making the overworld like a dungeon made it even more linear than ever before. Maybe they were talking about other things that I don't remember. This time, he specifically mentioned being able to play dungeons in any order. That's pretty much exactly what people have been asking for for awhile. They would have to change a lot of aspects of the game to make that work, so unless they totally abandon that idea, I think the next Zelda game HAS to be pretty different.
By far in my opinion, the biggest reveal this time was:
The Zelda remake looks nice but it's a Remake so I'm not that hype for it. I'll get that version though since I didn't bother to get the original Wind Waker so the experience and visuals will be fresh to me :P .
The Wonderful 101 looks better and better the more they show it.
Pikmin 3 will be amazing as will the new 3D Mario.
Bayonetta 2's environment art looked great.
That new Yoshi title looks AMAZING!!!! And did you see that SHYGUY?!?! Awesome!!!
Monolith Soft's title looks like the one I'm going to have to buy day 1 along with SMT x FE. A-MAZ-ING
But hands down, the biggest reveal to me was easily, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem. First off, this came from nowhere so the shock was crazy good. Once I saw Atlus, I knew it would be something great as they are one of my favorite companies for the SMT/Persona series and for helping SNK with King of Fighters 13 (My favorite fighting game franchise ever). But being a long time fan of RPG's and Tactical/Strategy games such as Shin Megami Tensei, Fire Emblem, Vandal Hearts, Luminous Arc, Suikoden, Skies of Arcadia, etc, this game has crossed some of my favorite franchises.
To see how they combine both of these worlds is going to be epic. I'm just wondering if the Beorc/Laguz will actually become some of the Soul of the SMT characters or if each of the Fire Emblem cast will get their own Persona or it could possibly be an entirely new story. I'd love to see Amaterasu from Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne take on The Black Knight. This leads to HUGE possibilities for both franchises. If it's set in the SMT/Persona timeline, the storyline could open up bigtime as adding characters such as Lucina, Shiida, Dactyl and others into a timeline with characters such as Pascal, Louis Cyphre and Sho (I would name Persona characters but since this is Strictly Shin Megami Tensei, I'll keep it to those characters).
Also, the possibility of Dante from DMC is possible here also seeing as how he was actually playable in Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. The chance is about 5% so I wouldn't hold my breath for it but just wanted to throw that in there.
Anyway, with those titles, and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, I'm going to be quite busy for a while.

Am I the only one who initially thought when they showed SMT x Fire Emblem that it was going to be a fighting game with characters from the two series? Now that I think about it I don't think that will be the case. The gamepad would be perfect for an SRPG game!!By far in my opinion, the biggest reveal this time was:

I don't remember everything since it's been a while, but I remember them knocking devs that artificially lengthen games with filler.. Then Skyward Sword had a ton of it. I remember an interview where they talked up the whole dialogue options thing, and then the actual dialogue options were laughable. The overworld dungeon thing rang true SOMETIMES, but others it was just backtracking and tedium. They talked throughout the entire development cycle on how they were changing up the formula, and then the formula remained the same with negligible differences. I'm not saying SS turned out bad, I just don't believe anything they say about Zelda anymore pre-release when they tend to exhaggerate a lot.
Aside from the new "Xenoblade" and Yoshi Yarn there were not many big surprises, but it is still great to see Wind Waker being put in HD, as it is probably my second favorite Zelda game; and getting confirmation that Zelda, Smash Bros and Mario are being developed, and that the latter will be seen at E3.
I can't wait.
