I was wondering if there was a way to use the wiimote rather than the gamepad on the Netflix app? The gamepad is great in all but I like the simplicity of the wiimote.

It really bugs me that you have to switch to the gamepad when the Wii remote would work just as well.
The Wii's Netflix is probably available through Wii Mode.
It'll probably get patched in.
Since something that I've noticed is that when you press the home button while watching a video and then close the gamepad home menu, Netflix exit out of the video. While if you do the same action on the 3DS's Netflix and Wii's Netflix (I think) when you close off the home menu and return to Netflix, the video will simply continue to play.
So I do belive that Netflix will probably get patched, hopefully sooner rather than later and hopefully they will include Wiimote support, for those who want it, in the patch also.
They won't add wiimote support. But I have a very important question, does the Wii U Netflix streams in HD?Rod90
From the few things that I've watched on Netflix on the Wii U, I would say yes. I dont know if its 720p HD or 1080p, all I know is that it looks clear. The movies look exactly the same on the Wii U as they do on my moms computer with a 22" HD flat screen monitor.
